St Albans is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 17 km (11 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Brimbank local government area. St Albans recorded a population of 38,042 at the 2021 census.St Albans' main commercial and shopping precinct is located on Main Road West, Main Road East, Alfrieda Street, the railway station and East Esplanade. It has become one of Melbourne's most multicultural suburbs, with only 32.5% of residents being born in Australia and has a very high proportion of residents of a non-English speaking background.
