Stolley Homestead Site

The Heinrich Giese House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1863 as a log cabin by Heinrich Giese, an immigrant from Holstein, Germany. Giese lived here with his wife, née Mary Obermiller, and their seven children. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 26, 2006.

The Glade-Donald House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1905 for Henry Glade, a German immigrant, and designed in the Shingle style. It was acquired and remodelled by Lawrence Donald, a Scottish immigrant, in 1918, and purchased by his brother John Donald, also from Scotland, in 1934. The latter hired Russell Rohrer to redecorate its interior with new wallpapers and chandeliers. The house has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since September 12, 1985.

The Diocese of Grand Island (Latin: Dioecesis Insulae Grandis) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical territory, or diocese, of the Catholic Church in northwestern and central Nebraska in the United States. It is a suffragan diocese in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Omaha.The cathedral parish is the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Grand Island. As of 2023, the bishop of Grand Island is Joseph G. Hanefeldt, who was installed on March 19, 2015.

The Andrew M. Hargis House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1898 for Andrew M. Hargis, a co-founder of the Grand Island Business and Normal College, and designed in the Queen Anne architectural style. It was purchased by banker F. J. Coates in 1913, and it became the Grand Island Women's Club in 1953. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 9, 1978.

The Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer is a museum located in Grand Island, Nebraska dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Pioneers who settled the plains of central Nebraska in the late 19th century. It features a living history village called Railroad Town, designed to evoke an 1890s-era prairie village and made up of many original period structures moved to the museum.The museum is named after Leo Stuhr, a local farmer and politician whose family were among the area's pioneer settlers. He donated land, money, and numerous artifacts that served as the foundation of the museum. The building that houses the bulk of the museum's exhibits, the Stuhr Building, was designed by architect Edward Durell Stone and was built by Geer-Melkus Construction Co., Inc. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 after undergoing a $7.4 million restoration.Among the structures in Railroad Town is the house where actor Henry Fonda was born in 1905. Movies filmed at the museum include Sarah, Plain and Tall (1991) and My Antonia (1995). The museum once had a working steam locomotive that traveled the 3 ft (914 mm) narrow gauge Nebraska Midland Railroad on the museum grounds.

The Oscar Roeser House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built by Henry Falldorf in 1908 for Oscar Roeser, a businessman from Michigan who lived here with his wife, née Minnie Stolley, and their son, Oscar. Roeser was of German descent, and he joined the Liederkranz in Grand Island. His house was designed in the Classical Revival style by Thomas Rogers Kimball. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since June 25, 1982.

The Hamilton-Donald House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1905 for Ellsworth D. Hamilton by Henry Falldorf. In 1908, it was acquired by John Donald, a co-founder of the Donald Company, a dry goods and grocer's store. (Donald later purchased the Glade-Donald House, another historic house.) The house was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 13, 1986.

The H. J. Bartenbach House is a historic house in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1937 for Henry J. Bartenbach. It was redesigned in the Streamline Moderne style by architect Gordon Shattuck in 1937–1938. For Joni Gilkerson of the Nebraska State Historical Society, "the house today stands as a notable product of the Moderne Style of architecture in Nebraska, gaining extraordinary significance as one of few recorded examples in the state and as the most important dwelling of the style in Grand Island, the home-town of architect Shattuck." It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 8, 1986.

The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as St. Mary's Cathedral, is the cathedral church for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Grand Island located in Grand Island, Nebraska, United States. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Lee Huff Apartment Complex is a building in Grand Island, Nebraska. Two flats and the garage were built in 1920–1921, and the apartment complex was completed by Paul Sothman in 1928. It was designed in the Renaissance Revival style by architect James Allen. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since July 1, 1994.

The Liederkranz hall is a historic building in Grand Island, Nebraska. It was built in 1911-1912 for the local Liederkranz, or German-language choir, founded in 1870. Moreover, "All meetings, programs, etc. were conducted in German until World War I when English became the official language" of the hall. The building was designed in the Classical Revival style by architect Oscar Kirche. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since November 30, 1978. It is the only Liederkranz in Nebraska.
