Marketplace Mall is a one-story and second shopping mall in Winston-Salem on NC 150 (Peters Creek Parkway) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States. Its main anchor stores are Dollar Tree & Hamrick's. The mall opened in 1984. Hamrick's was added in 1995. By 2003, the mall had lost the majority of its tenants, but a renovation begun that same year added several new retailers, including a furniture store called Dynasty. Dynasty closed in 2008 and was replaced by a Steve & Barry's clothing store. This store closed the same year and was replaced by a Veterans Affairs clinic in 2010.

The Ardmore Historic District is a 600-acre (240 ha) national historic district located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 2,093 contributing buildings and two contributing sites. The district consists of at least ten platted residential developments from 1910 through 1924 as well as three large apartment complexes from 1947 through 1951, one of which was controversially demolished in 2021. It includes works designed by Hall Crews and by Northup & O'Brien. It includes Queen Anne and Bungalow/craftsman architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Parkland Magnet High School is a magnet school in Winston-Salem, North Carolina that offers an International Baccalaureate program and describes itself as a "Center for the Cultural Arts". Parkland was founded in 1965 as Parkland High School.The school's campus is located on the south side of Winston-Salem, and is easily accessible from Interstate 40, US Highway 52, and Peters Creek Parkway. The campus includes a main building, several multi-classroom pod trailers, a practice football field, competition track, baseball and softball fields. Brenner Children's Hospital is the 144-bed is "hospital within a hospital" affiliated with Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It provides care to patients from birth to age 21 and is staffed by more than 120 full-time pediatric faculty members representing more than 30 areas of expertise, as well as all pediatric surgical specialties. Brenner Children's Hospital has its own Emergency Department, including the first Level I Pediatric Trauma Care unit in North Carolina.More than 4,500 children are admitted to Brenner Children's Hospital every year and more than 21,000 pediatric subspecialty visits occur at hospital-based outpatient clinics. The Coy C. Carpenter Library and Dorothy Carpenter Medical Archives, located at Wake Forest School of Medicine, is a library named after the first dean of the university's medical school, Coy Cornelius Carpenter, M.D., and his wife, Dorothy (Mitten) Carpenter.Coy C. Carpenter was dean of the School of Medicine of Wake Forest University from 1936 to 1967 and Vice President for Health Affairs from 1963 to 1967. He guided the school through the transition from a two-year to a four-year program and the move from Wake Forest to Winston-Salem in 1941. He authored The Story of Medicine at Wake Forest University (Chapel Hill: University of North Carolina Press, 1970).

Truist Stadium is a ballpark in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, that replaced Ernie Shore Field. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Winston-Salem Dash minor league baseball team and primary home field of the Carolina Disco Turkeys summer collegiate baseball team. The ballpark is bounded by Peters Creek Parkway (northwest/west); 1st Street (north); and Green Street (northeast, left-center field). Salem Parkway, which carries US 158 and US 421, is toward the south/southeast.

Washington Park Historic District, also known as the Southside Neighborhood, is a national historic district located at Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 348 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site (Washington Park), and 2 contributing structures, in a predominantly residential section of Winston-Salem. It was a planned speculative development centered on a streetcar line. The buildings date from about 1892 to 1940, and include notable examples of Colonial Revival, Queen Anne, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the Schlatter Memorial Reformed Church (1916).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were last occupied by Macy's and Sears. Hanes Mall was North Carolina's largest enclosed shopping mall until 2004 when SouthPark Mall in Charlotte finished its expansion project.
