St Brides Castle

St Brides (Welsh: Sain Ffraid) is a parish and small coastal village in Pembrokeshire, Wales, at the south of St Brides Bay, about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) north of the larger village of Marloes, with which it forms the Marloes and St Brides community. The village is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Royal Air Force Talbenny, or more simply RAF Talbenny, is a former Royal Air Force station located 5.6 miles (9.0 km) north west of Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire and 7.9 miles (12.7 km) south west of Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales. Situated around 3 miles (5 km) from RAF Dale, its satellite airfield, on an escarpment overlooking St Brides Bay, it was operational from 1 May 1942, to 15 December 1946, having been under Coastal Command, Transport Command and Fighter Command of the Royal Air Force. RAF Talbenny opened as a No. 19 Group RAF, RAF Coastal Command station, and was immediately put to use as an operational air base for squadrons undertaking anti-submarine maritime patrols, focusing around the Bay of Biscay.

St Brides Bay (Welsh: Bae Sain Ffraid) is a bay in western Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Either Skomer Island or the mainland extremity of Wooltack Point at the western end of the Marloes Peninsula marks the southern limit of the bay whilst its northern limit is marked by Ramsey Island off St David's Head. The mouth of the bay is about 7 miles (11 km) wide and extends some 10 miles (16 km) eastwards from this line.

Hasguard is a parish northwest of the town of Milford Haven in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The name applies to several other locations: Upper and Middle Hasguard, Hasguard Hall (at SM850100), Little Hasguard (SM845108) and Hasguard Cross (SM849107), this last on the B4327 Haverfordwest to Dale road, and is a recorded historic place name by the Royal Commission.

Little and Broad Haven Lifeboat Station is a Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) lifeboat station in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The station was opened in 1882 at Little Haven where it operated until 1921. It reopened in 1967 under its present name, and serves the area in St Bride's Bay surrounding Little Haven and Broad Haven resorts. When it was built it was the RNLI's smallest lifeboat station. The station operates a D-class (IB1) inshore lifeboat, launched by tractor and trailer.

Little Haven (Welsh: Hafan Fach) is a village at the south-east corner of St Bride's Bay, Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Together with Broad Haven to the north, Little Haven forms The Havens community for which the 2001 census recorded a population of 1,328. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path runs through the village. Since May 2012, this route has also formed a part of the Wales Coast Path. At low tide it is possible to walk north along the sandy shore from Little Haven via a larger bay known as the Settlands, past a second point ('The Rain') to the wider bay at Broad Haven. There is an Anglican church in Little Haven.

Milford Haven Waterway (Welsh: Dyfrffordd Aberdaugleddau) is a natural harbour in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is a ria or drowned valley which was flooded at the end of the last ice age. The Daugleddau estuary winds west to the sea. As one of the deepest natural harbours in the world, it is a busy shipping channel, trafficked by ferries from Pembroke Dock to Ireland, oil tankers and pleasure craft. Admiral Horatio Nelson, visiting the haven with the Hamiltons, described it as the next best natural harbour to Trincomalee in Ceylon (today's Sri Lanka) and "the finest port in Christendom". Much of the coastline of the Waterway is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, listed as Milford Haven Waterway SSSI.

Thorne Island is a rocky islet and part of the community of Angle, Pembrokeshire, Wales, with an area of 2 acres (8,100 m2), dominated by a coastal artillery fort built to defend the Milford Haven Waterway in the mid-19th century. It has been the site of a number of shipwrecks, including one in 1894 that was carrying a cargo of Scotch whisky.

Broad Haven (Welsh: Aberllydan) is a village and seaside resort in the south east corner of St Bride's Bay at the western terminus of the B4341 road in south Pembrokeshire, Wales. Broad Haven and Little Haven together form the Havens community and division of Pembrokeshire County Council. The 2001 census records a population of 1,328 for the Havens. The only church in Broad Haven is the Baptist church, although there are Anglican churches in nearby Little Haven. It is a seaside resort with a large west-facing Blue Flag beach offering safe bathing for families and good surfing, windsurfing and sailing opportunities. The north end of Broad Haven beach has a number of interesting geological features including folding, a stack (locally known as Lion Rock) and natural arches. The town has a number of restaurants and pubs. Broad Haven should not be confused with the Broad Haven South beach near Bosherston in south Pembrokeshire.

The East and West Blockhouses were Device Forts built by King Henry VIII in 1539 to protect the harbour of Milford Haven in Wales. The two blockhouses were positioned on either side of the Milford Haven Waterway in the villages of Angle and Dale respectively, overlooking the sea. The East Blockhouse was never completed, but the remains were reused as a defensive site in the Second World War. The West Blockhouse was described by contemporaries as forming a round tower with gunports, but it was demolished when West Blockhouse Fort was built on the same site in the 19th century.

The Havens is the name of a community and an electoral ward in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

Haroldston West is a rural coastal parish in west Pembrokeshire, Wales, 5.5 miles (8.9 km) west of Haverfordwest. It is in the community of Merlin's Bridge.
