Thundercoaster (TusenFryd)

Tusenfryd (lit. "Thousand Joys", also Common Daisy) is an amusement park at Vinterbro, Norway. The park is located 20 kilometers south of Oslo. Two of the longest motorway corridors in Norway, E6 and E18, meet nearby Tusenfryd and the park is located on the west side near where they meet. SpeedMonster, SuperSplash, ThunderCoaster and SpaceShot make the park visible from the motorway. The park was officially opened on 11 June 1988, after a construction period of 18 months. The park is owned by Parques Reunidos S.A., located in Madrid, Spain. Bjørn Håvard Solli is the park's CEO. The park has 34 attractions and has 500,000 visitors per year.

Speed Monster is a launched roller coaster located at the Norwegian theme park, Tusenfryd. Built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin, the ride opened in 2006 and features a rare element known as a "Norwegian Loop".

Vinterbro is a village in the municipality of Ås, Akershus, Norway. It has 3,000 residents in the subdivisions Togrenda and Sjøskogen. The area features two primary schools and four kindergartens. This is the location of a large shopping area, including a Steen & Strøm shopping center. The amusement park Tusenfryd and part of the Oslo Tramway Museum is also located at Vinterbro. European Route E6 and E18 run past the area. Part of the E6 was financed by Oslo Package 1.

The Vebjørn Sand da Vinci Project built a laminated-wood parabolic-arch pedestrian bridge in Norway over European route E18 in Ås, Norway, in 2000. It was a partnership between the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Norwegian painter and artist Vebjørn Sand, who headed the project. The resulting da Vinci Bridge is one of several installations for which Sand is known in Norway.

Gjersjøen is a lake in the municipalities Oppegård and Ås in Akershus county, Norway. It has a surface area of 2.6 km2 (1.0 sq mi), and is 40 m above sea level. The lake drains through Gjersjøelva to Bunnefjorden.

Greverud is a village in Oppegård municipality in Akershus county, Norway. It is located south of Kolbotn, approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) south of Oslo. Greverud has around 4,500 inhabitants, while the 37 square kilometres (14 sq mi) municipality of Oppegård has a total of around 24,000 inhabitants. In the middle of Greverud is Greverudsenteret, with shops and restaurants. North of Greverudsenteret is Greverud church, a brick church built in 1967. Next to Greverudsenteret is a mountain hall, built as a bomb shelter but in peace time containing tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, soccer field and bandy field. In addition, Multisportsenteret ABOX offers space for training strength, aerobic and spinning.

Oppegård Station (Norwegian: Oppegård stasjon) is a railway station at Oppegård in Akershus, Norway. Located on the Østfold Line, it is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail line L2 operated by Vy with two hourly services. The station was opened along with the rest of Østfold Line in 1879.
