Campo nell'Elba is a comune (municipality) on the island of Elba, in the Province of Livorno in the Italian region of Tuscany, located about 140 kilometres (87 mi) southwest of Florence and about 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of Livorno.

The naval Battle of Elba (or Battle of Monte Cristo) was a naval battle which took place on 28 August 1652 during the First Anglo-Dutch war, between a Dutch squadron under Johan van Galen and an English squadron under Captain Richard Badiley.

Monte Poro Lighthouse (Italian: Faro di Monte Poro) is an active lighthouse located on the summit of Monte Poro, in the south western part of Elba on the Tyrrhenian Sea, a region covered by Macchia Mediterranea. Marciana Marina is a town and comune in the province of Livorno (administrative region of Tuscany, Italy), one of the most important towns of Elba Island. It is situated at sea level, with nearly 2,000 inhabitants. There is a small marina (Circolo della Vela Marciana Marina), two small beaches and an old Torre Medicea, built to protect the city in the past from the frequent pirate invasion. The promenade going from the old part of the city (called Il Cotone) to the Torre Medicea has preserved the original architectonical and urbanistic features of the 18th century.
