Munlochy railway station served the village of Munlochy, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland, from 1894 to 1951 on the Fortrose Branch.

Munlochy ( mən-LOKH-ee; Scottish Gaelic: Poll Lochaidh) is a small village, lying at the head of Munlochy Bay (Ob Poll Lochaidh), in the Black Isle in Ross and Cromarty, in northern Scotland.There are few early records of a settlement, but it seems likely that Munlochy expanded in the 1760s due to quarry workers extracting stone nearby to build Fort George on the far side of the Moray Firth.

Croftnacreich () is a hamlet on the Black Isle, in Ross and Cromarty in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is one mile (1.6 km) north-west of North Kessock, next to the A9 road and close to the village of Artafallie.

Charleston is a village on the north shore of the Beauly Firth, about 1 mile west of the Kessock Bridge, in east Ross-shire, Scottish Highlands, within the Scottish council area of Highland. An artificially created village, it was laid out in 1812 by Sir Charles Mackenzie of Kilcoy.This is one of several villages and hamlets with the same name in Scotland. The others are Charlestown, Wester Ross; Charlestown, Fife; and Charlestown of Aboyne. The village lies almost directly opposite Inverness across the Beauly Firth. Almost adjacent to the east of Charlestown is North Kessock, which can be accessed along the A9 road or the coast road. The biggest town to the west, about 9 miles away, is Muir of Ord. The village of Tore, about 5 miles to the northeast of Charleston, is accessed by the A9. Directly north is the small village of Munlochy on Munlochy Bay.

North Kessock (Gaelic: Ceasag a Tuath or Aiseag Cheasaig) is a village on the Black Isle north of Inverness.

Artafallie (Scottish Gaelic: Àirde Fàillidh) is a hamlet on the Black Isle, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It is about two km (1.2 mi) to the north-west of North Kessock, next to the A9 road.

The Kessock Ferry used to ply between Inverness and the Black Isle, across the Beauly Firth. It was withdrawn on the opening of the Kessock Bridge in 1982.

Clachnaharry railway station served the village of Clachnaharry, Highland, Scotland from 1868 to 1913 on the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway.

Kessock Lifeboat Station is located directly under the A9 Kessock Bridge, on the north shore of Beauly Firth at Craigton Point, North Kessock, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Inverness, in the Highland region of Scotland. A lifeboat station was established at North Kessock in 1993 by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). The station currently operates a B-class (Atlantic 85) Inshore lifeboat, Robert and Isobel Mowat (B-873), on station since 2014.

The Battle of Clachnaharry was a Scottish clan battle that took place in the year 1454. It was fought between the Clan Munro and the Clan Mackintosh (Chattan Confederation) on the south bank of the Beauly Firth at Clachnaharry, on the outskirts of Inverness.

Clachnaharry (; Scottish Gaelic: Clach na h-Aithrigh) is a former fishing village, now part of the city of Inverness in the Highland council area of Scotland. Clachnaharry is situated on the south shore of the Beauly Firth, about 2 miles (3 km) west of the city centre. The village was often wrongly said to have derived its name from the Gaelic Clach na Faire, 'watchman's stone' which refers to nearby rocks used as a look out post by the townsfolk of Inverness. The recent book "The Gaelic Place Names and Heritage of Inverness" by Roddy Maclean, however, has pointed out the name in fact derives from Clach na h-Aithrigh, Stone of Repentance. The Caledonian Canal begins at Clachnaharry, connecting to the Beauly Firth via a sea lock. The Far North Line also passes through, crossing the canal on a swing bridge. Clachnaharry used to have a railway station. This station opened in 1869 on the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway, and was the first stop after leaving Inverness, but closed in 1913. A monument here commemorates the Battle of Clachnaharry between the Clan Munro and the Clan Chattan in 1454.

Kilmuir (from the Scottish Gaelic Cille Mhoire, meaning Mary's Church) is a former fishing village, located on the north coast of the Moray Firth in the Black Isle and is in the Scottish council area of Highland. Kilmuir is located 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) northeast of Inverness.
