Villmergen is a municipality in the district of Bremgarten in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. Two famous battles took place at Villmergen. In 2010, Hilfikon merged into Villmergen.

Battle of Villmergen

Battle of Villmergen may refer to either of two battles between the Reformed and Catholic cantons of Switzerland fought at Villmergen (47°21′N 8°15′E) in the canton of Aargau: a battle of the First War of Villmergen, fought on 24 January 1656 a battle of the Toggenburg War (or Second War of Villmergen), fought on 24 July 1712

Stadion Niedermatten

Stadion Niedermatten is a football stadium in Wohlen, Switzerland. It is the home ground of FC Wohlen. The stadium is owned by Wohlen council. It has a capacity of 3,734 of which it has 3,100 standing places and 634 seats. The stadium is part of the Niedermatten Sports Centre. It includes, apart from the football stadium, one athletics facility with 400-meter running track, an inline hockey court, two football training pitches and nine tennis courts . Construction began in August 2002 and was completed in spring 2004.

Hilfikon was a municipality in the district of Bremgarten in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. In January 2010 Hilfikon merged into Villmergen.

Wohlen railway station

Wohlen railway station, also known as Wohlen AG railway station, is a railway station in the municipality of Wohlen in the Swiss canton of Aargau. The station is located on the standard gauge Rupperswil–Immensee line of Swiss Federal Railways, between Lenzburg and Rotkreuz. The Aargau Verkehr Bremgarten–Dietikon line, a 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge line with some characteristics of a roadside tramway, terminates at a platform opposite the SBB platforms.

Dottikon-Dintikon railway station (German: Bahnhof Dottikon-Dintikon) is a railway station in the municipality of Villmergen, in the Swiss canton of Aargau. It is an intermediate stop on the standard gauge Rupperswil–Immensee line of Swiss Federal Railways.
