D.N. De Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is a government homoeopathic medical college and hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1927 and one of the oldest homeopathic medical colleges in India. The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. It is also recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH). It offers B.H.M.S. (Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery) and M.D. (Homoeopathy) courses. This college was established as Dunham College of Homoeopathy in 1927, and later renamed as D.N. De Homoeopathic Medical College in the name of its founder Dr. D. N. De. in the January’ 1951.

Tiretta Bazaar, is a neighborhood near Lalbazar in Central Kolkata. It is usually called Old China Market. The locality was once home to 20,000 ethnic Chinese Indian nationals, but now the population has dropped to approximately 2,000. Most of the Hakka Chinese people in the area moved closer to Tangra. The traditional occupation of the Chinese Indian community in Kolkata had been working in the nearby tanning industry as well as in Chinese restaurants. Fatima Church is a Catholic religious building located on CIT Road, Kolkata, India. Looked after by the Redemptorist fathers since 1966 the Fatima church serves the Catholic community living in and around CIT Road, Entally, Park Circus and nearby surrounding areas. It was erected into a parish in 1969.

Science City Kolkata is the largest science centre in Asia. It is managed by National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It is located at the crossing of Eastern Metropolitan Bypass and J. B. S. Haldane Avenue (Parama Island) in East Topsia. Saroj Ghose, the first director general of NCSM, is credited with having conceptualised this centre in 1997. This centre was inaugurated by two parts: the ‘Convention Centre Complex’ was unveiled on 21 December 1996 by Paul Jozef Crutzen in presence of the then chief minister Jyoti Basu and the whole centre was opened by the then prime minister Inder Kumar Gujral on 1 July 1997.
