The University of the People (UoPeople) is a non-profit private, distance education university.

The Pasadena Unified School District is a unified school district that is responsible for the schools of Pasadena, California. As of 2014, it has four high schools, five middle schools, three K–8 schools and 15 K–5 elementary schools. The number of elementary schools was reduced from 18 at the end of the 2010–11 school year.The district includes most of Pasadena, most of Sierra Madre, Altadena, San Pasqual, most of East Pasadena, and a portion of East San Gabriel. Its area is 76 square miles (200 km2).PUSD is run by a board of education, whose members serve four-year terms. Duties of the board include budgeting, approving expenditures, establishing policy, making employment decisions, approving textbooks and courses of study, and approving academic initiatives. As of June 2012, PUSD's at-large board districts became geographic subdistricts. As of December 12, 2022, the members of the PUSD Board of Education are Kimberly Kenne (District 1), Jennifer Hall Lee (District 2), Michelle Richardson Bailey (District 3), Patrick Cahalan (District 4), Patrice Marshall McKenzie (District 5), Tina Wu Fredericks (District 6) and Yarma Velázquez (District 7).

The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (also referred to as the Chen Institute or TCCI) is a non-profit institute founded by husband and wife Tianqiao Chen and Chrissy Luo with the aim of supporting study into the human brain. In 2016 the couple committed US$1 billion to support the institute's work, which focuses on research in three core areas – brain discovery, brain treatment and brain development. Towards that end, the institute supports interdisciplinary research concerning neuroscience, particularly research on brain mechanics, perception, and the impact of perception on behavior and well-being.

Rose Court is a bungalow court located at 449-457 S. Hudson Ave. in Pasadena, California. The court has a half-court arrangement with three buildings containing five residential units located alongside a driveway. Built from 1921 to 1922, the court was designed by the architectural firm Stewart, Young & Stewart in the Mission Revival style. The homes feature stucco walls, arched porches, and broken parapets along the roof and reflect a simplified interpretation of Mission Revival architecture.The court was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 11, 1983.

California College of Music (abbreviated CCM) is a for-profit, contemporary popular music school in Pasadena, in Los Angeles County, California. The institution was first founded in 1999 as the Pasadena International Music Academy, and changed its name to California College of Music in 2008. It currently offers six-quarter Associate of Arts degrees in music performance (voice, guitar, bass, drums, and piano/keyboards) as well as a four-quarter and two-quarter Certificate program in Music Performance and Songwriting & Music Production.California College of Music is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music.

Playhouse Village, (formerly known as Playhouse District) a neighborhood in Pasadena, California, is bordered by Interstate 210 to the north, California Boulevard to the south, Los Robles Avenue to the west, and Hudson Avenue to the east, with a panhandle-like extension to Wilson Avenue. The district is also notable for its manhattanization, the legacy of extensive urbanization from the 1960s to the 1980s.

PRI was founded in 1979 by British philanthropist Antony Fisher and a San Francisco businessman James North. Haskett Court is a bungalow court located at 824–834 E. California Boulevard in Pasadena, California. The court includes five buildings which form a "U" shape around a central walkway; the buildings contain a combined six residential units. Built in 1926, the court was designed by Pasadena architect Charles Ruhe and built by W. B. Haskett, who also lived in one of the homes. The houses in the court were designed to resemble English cottages, and their architecture is similar to the Tudor Revival style. As bungalow courts lost popularity in the 1930s, Haskett Court is one of the later bungalow courts built in Pasadena.The court was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 25, 1982.
