Blue Creek Metropark is a park and conservation area in Whitehouse and Waterville Township, Ohio, owned by Metroparks Toledo and partially leased to the city of Whitehouse.The rustic area has a parking lot and a one-mile loop trail leading to a wetland and a quarry pond. Fishing is permitted in the pond. A temporary restroom is located in the parking lot.The park has exposed glacial striations dating back 12,000 years, formed when glaciers pushed granite over limestone.

There are over fifty miles of trails in Oak Openings Preserve.The park gets its name from the region in which it is located. Oak Openings Preserve lies within the larger Oak Openings Region. The region hosts over 180 rare species of plants and animals. This is over one-third of all rare species found in the state of Ohio.According to The Nature Conservancy, the Oak Openings Region is one of the 200 "Last Great Places on Earth".

Anthony Wayne High School is a public high school in Whitehouse, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo. The school has an enrollment of approximately 1,330 students in grades 9–12 as of 2019–20. The school is named for General Anthony Wayne, who led troops in the nearby Battle of Fallen Timbers during the Northwest Indian War. The Anthony Wayne High School was established in 1951. It is the consolidation of Monclova, Waterville, and Whitehouse Schools. The school was featured in the 2010 MTV reality series If You Really Knew Me.
