A hill town in the southern reaches of the province, it is located on the Stizzon River, about 4 kilometres (2 miles) from its junction with the Piave, and 20 km (12 mi) southwest from Belluno. The Dolomites loom to the north of the town. An area incorporating Feltre and 12 contiguous municipalities is known as Feltrino. In 2014, the Feltrino area was formalised in the Unione Montana Feltrina (Feltrino Mountain Community).

The Bellunes Alps (German: Belluneser Alpen, Italian: Prealpi Bellunesi) is the now obsolete name of a mountain range on the southern edge of the Eastern Alps. They lie in the Italian regions of Venetia and Trentino-South Tyrol. They cover the provinces of Treviso, Pordenone and part of Vicenza. The name is derived from the town of Belluno. Their highest peak is Col Nudo at 2,472 m s.l.m.. They are part of the Southern Limestone Alps, and are mainly made of the chalk limestone of the Southern Alps with summit region made of main dolomite. The Bellunes Alps used to be an independent group in the Alpine Club Classification of the Eastern Alps (AVE) and had the number 55. In 1984 they were divided; the northern part being assigned to the Dolomites, and the southern part to the Southern Carnic Alps – the latter also appeared as the Bellunes Prealps (Belluneser Voralpen) in the Partizione delle Alpi where it formed Group 55d of the Venetian Alps (55). The northern part is also called the Bellunes Dolomites or Schiara Group, after its highest peak, Monte Schiara (2,565 m s.l.m.). In 1990, the northern, dolomitic part was declare a national park: the Bellunes Dolomites National Park.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,661 and an area of 30.9 square kilometres (11.9 sq mi).The municipality of Miane contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Combai, Campea, and Premaor. Miane borders the following municipalities: Farra di Soligo, Follina, Mel, Valdobbiadene.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 909 and an area of 17.8 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi).The municipality of Vas contained the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Marziai and Caorera. Vas bordered the following municipalities: Feltre, Lentiai, Quero, Segusino, Valdobbiadene. On 28 December 2013 Vas merged with Quero to form the new municipality of Quero Vas.

Follina is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Treviso in the Italian region Veneto, located about 60 kilometres (37 miles) northwest of Venice and about 35 km (22 mi) northwest of Treviso. It is a member of the I Borghi più belli d'Italia ("The most beautiful villages of Italy") association.Situated in the Treviso countryside, on the “Strada del Prosecco” (“Prosecco wine route”), it is a village in the landscape of Veneto's pre-Alps. It is home to the eponymous abbey, built here in 1170 with the patronage of the Patriarch of Aquileia. St. Charles Borromeo was its abbot.
