Tremont Avenue is a street in the Bronx, New York City. Its west end is at Sedgwick Avenue in Morris Heights, and its east end is at Schurz Avenue in Throggs Neck, running almost the entire width of the Bronx. Around 2009, part of East Tremont Avenue renamed to Hector Lavoe Avenue, in honor of the late salsa musician.

Westchester Avenue is a major east-west street in the South and East portions of the Bronx, New York City. It runs from Third Avenue and 150th Street in the Hub to Pelham Bay Park in the Pelham Bay section. It crosses many neighborhoods of the Bronx, which include Melrose, Longwood, Soundview, Parkchester, and Pelham Bay. Westchester Avenue parallels the Bruckner Expressway until their junction at Pelham Bay Park. With the exception of 0.5 miles (0.80 km) of its length, Westchester Avenue is underneath elevated tracks of the New York City Subway. The IRT White Plains Road Line (2 and ​5 trains) runs over Westchester Avenue from Brook Avenue to Southern Boulevard and the IRT Pelham Line (6 and <6>​ trains) runs over Westchester Avenue from Whitlock Avenue to its terminus at Pelham Bay Park. The Bx4/Bx4A buses use Westchester Avenue between Bergen Avenue and Parkchester (Bx4A) or Westchester Square (Bx4) while the Bx24 uses Westchester Avenue north of Westchester Square. The Bx8 and Bx27 use the road for short segments.

Southern Boulevard is a street in the Bronx, New York City, United States. It stretches from Bruckner Boulevard in Mott Haven to Mosholu Parkway in Bedford Park. From 1981 until 2011, the portion north of Fordham Road, adjacent to the New York Botanical Garden, was also named Dr. Theodore L. Kazimiroff Boulevard. In 2011, the name of Kazimiroff, a Bronx historian and a founder of The Bronx County Historical Society, was changed to an honorary designation for this portion of Southern Boulevard after the New York City Department of Transportation, having been lobbied by Fordham University, decided that the designation was little known and confusing to those unfamiliar with the area.The 2 and ​5 trains run directly above Southern Boulevard from Simpson Street to 174th Street. The 6 and <6>​ trains also run under Southern Boulevard from East 143rd Street to Hunts Point Avenue. The Bx9 and Bx19 also serve Southern Boulevard, with the Bx19 serving Southern Boulevard between East 149th Street and New York Botanical Garden and the Bx9 serving Southern Boulevard between East 180th Street and Fordham Road. The Bx5 and Bx26 serve short portions of the street.

Belmont is a primarily residential neighborhood in the Bronx in New York City. Its boundaries are Fordham Road to the north, Bronx Park to the east, East 181st Street to the south, and Third Avenue to the west. These boundaries give the neighborhood a crescent-like shape. Rainey Memorial Gates is a historic entrance gate located at the north side of the Bronx Zoo, within Bronx Park in the Bronx, New York City. It was built in 1934 and constructed of sculpted bronze in the Art Deco style. It was designed by noted sculptor Paul Manship (1885–1966), who worked on them starting in 1926. It stands as a memorial to noted big game hunter Paul James Rainey (1877–1923). The gates feature stylized animal and plant life including the figure of a seated lion. Low bronze screens flank the gate and connect it to the granite gatekeepers lodges. The gates are topped by 26 ton slabs of granite.It is a New York City designated landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Tierney Hall is one of the three residential colleges on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University, in the Bronx, NY. It is home to about 150 students each semester. Tierney is described by the school as a "warm environment of a close-knit community." Tierney Hall was renovated in the summer of 2007.

Bronx Park is a public park along the Bronx River, in the Bronx, New York City. The park is bounded by Southern Boulevard to the southwest, Webster Avenue to the northwest, Gun Hill Road to the north, Bronx Park East to the east, and East 180th Street to the south. With an area of 718 acres (2.91 km2), Bronx Park is the eighth-largest park in New York City. Jim Houlihan Park at Jack Coffey Field, or simply Houlihan Park, is a baseball venue located on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University in the Bronx, New York, United States. It is the home field of the Fordham Rams baseball team of the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. The field is part of a larger athletic facility called Jack Coffey Field.
