The West Chicago City Museum, originally the Turner Town Hall, is a museum in West Chicago, Illinois.

Community High School, also known as West Chicago Community High School, WCCHS, or simply WE-GO, is a public four-year high school located in West Chicago, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is the sole school in the Community High School District 94.

West Chicago is a city in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 25,614 at the 2020 census. It was formerly named Junction and later Turner, after its founder, John B. Turner, president of the Galena and Chicago Union Railroad (G&CU) in 1855. The city was initially established around the first junction of railroad lines in Illinois, and today is still served by the Union Pacific West Metra service via West Chicago station.

West Chicago is a station on Metra's Union Pacific West Line, located in West Chicago, Illinois. The station is 29.7 miles (47.8 km) away from Ogilvie Transportation Center, the eastern terminus of the West Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, West Chicago is in zone F. As of 2018, West Chicago is the 88th busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 586 weekday boardings. Unless otherwise announced, inbound trains use the north (side) platform and outbound trains use the south (island) platform. As of May 30, 2023, West Chicago is served by 51 trains (26 inbound, 25 outbound) on weekdays, by all 20 trains (10 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. One inbound train originates at West Chicago on weekdays. West Chicago station lies south of the West Chicago City Hall and next to the Wilson Avenue Bridge. It is located at ground level and consists of two platforms and three tracks. Two tracks separate the side and island platforms, and one track lies south of the island platform. The island platform is accessed via a tunnel between the parking lot and the tracks. There is an unstaffed station house at the north side of the station, with a waiting room that is open from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Wheaton Academy (WA) is a private, Christian, co-educational high school in West Chicago, Illinois, which was established as part of the Illinois Institute by a group of evangelical abolitionists in 1853. The Illinois Institute was reorganized into Wheaton College and Wheaton College Academy, a preparatory school, in 1860. Wheaton Academy established an independent campus in West Chicago in 1945.

Winfield Township is one of nine townships in DuPage County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 45,836 and it contained 16,445 housing units. It is the least populous of the DuPage County Townships.

Lakewood is an unincorporated community in Wayne Township, DuPage County, Illinois, United States. Lakewood is located at the northeastern border of West Chicago.

The McAuley School District No. 27 is a schoolhouse in Winfield Township, DuPage County, Illinois, 1.25 miles (2.01 km) west from West Chicago, Illinois. By the time the schoolhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, District 27 was the last fully functioning one-room school district in Illinois. The final schoolhouse was built in 1913 on a school lot used since the 1850s; it closed in 1991 and the school district annexed into West Chicago Elementary School District 33 in 1992.

The Samuel and Eleanor Himmelfarb Home and Studio is a modernist, Usonian-style studio designed by Russian-born American designer Sam Himmelfarb, which was built in 1942 in a wooded area of Winfield, Illinois, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 4, 2018. Along with his wife Eleanor's input, Himmelfarb drew on modernist influences, such as the Bauhaus, and two Frank Lloyd Wright homes in Madison, Wisconsin: the First Jacobs House (1937) and the John Pew House (1938–40). These influences are reflected in the structure's exposed building materials, simple geometry, and lack of ornament, as well as its horizontal lines, straight-forward schematics, floor-to-ceiling glazed walls, and placement on an undulating natural lot. Himmelfarb modified Wright's L-shape footprint design for the Jacobs House, adding a studio wing set at an oblique angle to the rest of the home to create a Y-shape. The property's rolling terrain requires the one-story building to cantilever over the hillside on two ends, supported by stone piers and steel beams. He and Eleanor planned for window walls that incorporate views of the forest landscape beyond the property line. The home's interior features a fireplace at the center of the living room, a garden-like space inside the elbow bend at the house's front, outdoor terraces, and an open carport. Construction on the house began in January 1942, and was largely completed by November that year. In 2007, the Himmelfarb Home and Studio was featured in a Chicago Bauhaus and Beyond tour of Modernism in Chicago’s western suburbs.

Weston was a community in DuPage County, Illinois, United States, near Batavia and Warrenville. It was voted out of existence by its village board in order to provide a site for the National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), which was selected by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission on December 16, 1966.

It is owned and operated by the DuPage Airport Authority, which is an independent government body established by law by the State of Illinois. It also serves as a relief airport for O'Hare International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport, both in nearby Chicago.
