Broughton is a village and civil parish in northern Oxfordshire, England, about 2+1⁄2 miles (4 km) southwest of Banbury. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 286.

North Newington is a village and civil parish in northern Oxfordshire, England, about 2 miles (3 km) west of Banbury. The 2011 Census recorded the parish population as 324. The parish is nearly 2 miles (3 km) long east – west and about 1 mile (1.6 km) wide north – south. Sor Brook, a tributary of the River Cherwell, forms part of the eastern boundary of the parish and the B4035 road forms part of the southern boundary. The village is just west of Sor Brook, about 430 feet (130 m) above sea level.

Bloxham School, also called All Saints' School, is a private co-educational day and boarding school of the British public school tradition, located in the village of Bloxham, three miles (5 km) from the town of Banbury in Oxfordshire, England. The present school was founded in 1860 by Philip Reginald Egerton and has since become a member of the Woodard Corporation. The current headmaster is Paul Sanderson, who took over from Mark Allbrook in 2013. The school has approximately 515 pupils.Founded as a school of the Oxford Movement, Bloxham is a member of the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference.

It is notable for its 14th-century tower and spire, which is the highest in Oxfordshire. It is unusually large for a parish church. The architectural historian Jennifer Sherwood described it as "one of the grandest churches in the country." It is a Grade I listed building.

Wroxton Abbey is a Jacobean house in Oxfordshire, with a 1727 garden partly converted to the serpentine style between 1731 and 1751. It is 2.5 miles (4 km) west of Banbury, off the A422 road in Wroxton. It is now the English campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. Wroxton Abbey is a modernised 17th-century Jacobean manor house built on the foundations of a 13th-century Augustinian priory. The abbey boasts a great hall, minstrels' gallery, chapel, multi-room library, and royal bedrooms. In addition, there are 45 bedrooms (each with private bath), seminar rooms, offices, basement recreation rooms, and a reception area. Wroxton Abbey, named for its 12th-century origins as a monastery that was destroyed after Henry VIII's 1536 Dissolution of the Monasteries. Remnants of that structure remain in the cellarage, so that the building literally rose from the ruins when rebuilt by William Pope, 1st Earl of Downe, in the early 17th century. Further additions were made over the following centuries: the property passed from the Popes to the Norths in 1677. The elaborate monuments of the early Pope and North residents are in Wroxton church.The various Lords North and their families, including Frederick, Lord North and their royal, literary, and Presidential visitors — James I in 1605, Charles I on 13 July 1643, George IV in 1805, 06 and 08, William IV, Theodore Roosevelt in 1887 where he slept in William IV the Duke of Clarence's bed, Horace Walpole, Henry James, Frederick, Prince of Wales as well as the structure itself, led to the Abbey's designation as a Grade One Listed Building.The grounds comprise 56 acres (23 ha) of lawns, lakes, and woodlands, and include a serpentine lake, a cascade, a rill and a number of follies: the Gothic Dovecote attributed to Sanderson Miller and his Temple-on-the-Mount; the Drayton Arch was built by David Hiorn in 1771. William Andrews Nesfield advised on a formal flower garden on the south side of the house. A knot garden has been added in the 20th century and was illustrated by Blomfield as an example of a "modern garden".

Tudor Hall School is a private day and boarding school for girls in Oxfordshire, situated between Bloxham and Banbury. It was founded by a Baptist Minister and his wife, and moved to several different places before the purchase of its current premises after the Second World War.

Crouch Hill (The name of the hill comes from the Celtic "crug", meaning hill.) is a partly artificial hill one mile to the south-west of Banbury Church in Banbury, Oxfordshire, in the United Kingdom. The top of the hill, which is a cone in shape, is the artificial part, as examined by antiquarian digs in the 19th century. Alfred Beesley concluded that the purpose of the hill was thus to form a signalling platform with other Saxon encampments in the area, given that it afforded a view above most of Banbury to settlements such as Rainsborough and Arberry Hill (both in Northamptonshire).At the foot of Crouch Hill used to run Banbury Lane, a road that followed the route of an old trackway passing Rollrich and Tadmarton through Banbury to Northampton. Crossing it used to be a road named Saltway, which actually was a salt way, proceeding to the south-west in the direction of Oxford and London. It was around the junction of these two roads that Banbury town actually grew in the first place.Crouch Hill was used as an encampment by William Waller in 1644 during the siege of Banbury Castle.
