Haileybury (Melbourne)

The Haileybury Chapel, Melbourne is the chapel of Haileybury College and Haileybury Girls' College, located at the College's Keysborough campus in south-eastern Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The chapel is located on the eastern side of Springvale Road, just south of the intersection with Cheltenham Road, in Keysborough. Architecturally and artistically the Haileybury Chapel is one of the finest and most distinctive Australasian sacred buildings from the last quarter of the 20th century.Designed by the noted Australian architect Philip Cox, the Haileybury Chapel features extensive artwork, including over fifty stained glass mosaic windows by the celebrated Australian artist Leonard French. The chapel is also noted for its fine acoustic, which is especially suited to musical performance.

The electoral district of Keysborough was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly in Australia. It was created in the redistribution of electoral boundaries in 2013, and came into effect at the 2014 state election.It largely covered the area of the former district of Lyndhurst, covering southeast suburbs of Melbourne. It included the suburbs of Springvale South, Noble Park, Keysborough, and Dingley Village.The seat of Keysborough was only ever held by Labor MP Martin Pakula during its existence. The seat was abolished by the Electoral Boundaries Commission ahead of the 2022 election and predominantly split into the electoral districts of Clarinda, Dandenong and Mordialloc.

The four participating schools were officially merged into Keysborough Secondary College on 6 October 2008. The merger is valued at $43 million.

Waterways is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 25 km (16 mi) south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. Waterways recorded a population of 2,422 at the 2021 census.Originally a housing development, it is surrounded by the much larger suburbs of Braeside, Aspendale Gardens, Keysborough and Bangholme, and the Mornington Peninsula Freeway traverses the western side of the suburb. It is Australia's only suburb that's 20% parkland and 40% water, and over 46 hectares (110 acres) of wildlife sanctuary were artificially created in and around the old wetlands along the Mordialloc Creek (a distributary of lower Dandenong Creek), hence the suburb's name. The suburb's location is environmentally sensitive as it is situated directly between two important conservation areas, the Braeside Park and Edithvale Wetlands. Planning permits are strictly regulated and gardens monitored to prevent the introduction of foreign species that may become invasive and threaten the abundant native wildlife in the area. The Mornington Peninsula branch of the Bird Observers Club of Australia or PENBOC have documented 105 different species of birds in the area, and domestic cats are also forbidden for this reason.

Keysborough is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 27 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Greater Dandenong local government area. Keysborough recorded a population of 30,018 at the 2021 census.Keysborough was named after the Keys family who founded the town sometime after 1878.Keysborough is one of the largest suburbs in Melbourne by land area. Geographically, it is split into three sections, the southern portion of the suburb includes market gardens and semi-rural properties extending to its southern boundaries Pillars Road and the Mordialloc Creek, the middle portion of the suburb features large residential and industrial development which began in the 2000s, and the northern section of the suburb to its northern boundaries with Noble Park and Springvale South generally features housing predominantly built from the 1960s extending well into the 1990s. The suburb's western boundary is Springvale Road and eastern boundary is Dandenong Creek/EastLink. The Post Office opened on 27 November 1973 and was known as Noble Park South until 1978.Today, Keysborough facilitates several primary and secondary schools, including the Keysborough campus of Haileybury College and Lighthouse Christian College. Parkmore Shopping Centre includes a Coles, Woolworths, Kmart, Big W, Australia Post and an assortment of specialty stores. As of 2002 the southern corner of the suburb was under development and new housing estates have been developed including The Keys, Hidden Grove, and Crystal Waters. In 2017, Elmswood and Somerfield are new housing estates in southern Keysborough currently under development.

Parkmore Shopping Centre is a regional shopping centre located in the outer south-eastern suburb of Keysborough in the city of Melbourne, Australia. The centre services the suburbs of the City of Greater Dandenong such as Keysborough, Noble Park, Springvale as well as other local suburbs. There are 128 stores at Parkmore along with 2,600 car parking spaces, 130 of which are located undercover.
