Aaron Davis Hall

The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture is one of the eight schools and colleges of City College of New York. The school offers bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture that are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Founded in 1969, it is the only public school of architecture in New York City.

The Croton Aqueduct Gate House is located in Manhattanville, Manhattan, New York City, New York. The building was built in 1884 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 22, 1983. After being decommissioned in 1984, the below-grade valve chambers were filled and the building sat empty for nearly two decades. Between 2004 and 2006, architects oversaw an adaptive reuse project converting the gate house into theater space for Harlem Stage/Aaron Davis Hall.In 2018 a request for proposals has been issued by the Department of Parks and Recreation from New York, who has jurisdiction over the landmark.

The A. Philip Randolph Campus High School is a four-year public high school in New York City. It is located in Harlem, adjacent to the City College of New York. It occupies a landmark building formerly occupied by The High School of Music & Art. The school was established in 1979 as an educational collaboration between the Board of Education and The City College of New York. The high school is open to all New York City residents, and more than 90% of its graduates attend college. Its daily attendance rate is 90 percent or better throughout the year. The students may take eleven advanced placement (AP) courses in five subject areas as well as college courses at Randolph, The City College, and Borough of Manhattan Community College. In doing so, many students earn college credits while attending high school.As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,367 students and 65.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 21.0:1. There were 1,100 students (80.5% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 74 (5.4% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The High School of Music & Art, informally known as "Music & Art" (or "M&A"), was a public specialized high school located at 443-465 West 135th Street in the borough of Manhattan, New York, from 1936 until 1984. In 1961, Music & Art and the High School of Performing Arts (est. 1947) were formed into a two-campus high school. The schools fully merged in 1984 into the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & the Arts. Colloquially known as "The Castle on the Hill," the building that once housed Music & Art is located in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of Harlem, in the campus of the City College of New York across the street from St. Nicholas Park. The building now houses the A. Philip Randolph Campus High School, a magnet school of the New York City Department of Education.

Lewisohn Stadium was an amphitheater and athletic facility built on the campus of the City College of New York (CCNY). It opened in 1915 and was demolished in 1973.

Annunciation School was a co-educational Roman Catholic elementary school established in 1852 as a school for boys. It was part of Annunciation Church parish in the Archdiocese of New York. The school building, which was dedicated in 1907, is located at 461 West 131st Street in New York City's area of Manhattanville. At the conclusion of the 2012–2013 school year, Annunciation School permanently closed. The school building is presently used by a network charter school.

The Church of the Annunciation is a Roman Catholic parish church, located in Manhattanville/West Harlem in Manhattan. Founded in 1853, it is a parish of the Archdiocese of New York under the pastoral care of the Piarist Fathers The church is located at 88 Convent Avenue. Annunciation School is located at 461 West 131st Street but was closed in 2014. The pastor is the Rev. Orlando Rodriguez, Sch.P.

The Knickerbocker Hospital was a 228-bed hospital in New York City located at 70 Convent Avenue, corner of West 131st Street in Harlem, serving primarily poor and immigrant patients.

The Grove School of Engineering (GSoE) is the engineering school of the City College of the City University of New York (City College), a public university in New York City. It is one of the five schools of City College and CUNY's primary school of engineering. The GSoE is housed in the Steinman Hall, located in the northern side of the City College of New York's campus. It offers undergraduate and graduate engineering education. It includes 15 research institutes covering all major areas of engineering, including: Biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, and environmental engineering. The school currently has over five hundred students and 110 faculty on staff.In October 2005, the former CCNY Engineering School became the Grove School of Engineering when Andrew Grove, a school alumni and co-founder of the Intel Corporation, made the largest single donation that the CCNY has ever received. Grove’s donation of $26 million brought the school to the cutting edge in research and equipment.

The City University of New York (CUNY) School of Medicine is a public medical school that was established on June 10, 2015, and began operation in the fall of 2016. The school is in Hamilton Heights on the campus of The City College of New York (CCNY) and partners with Saint Barnabas Health System in the South Bronx for clinical medical education.Currently, the primary pathway of admission to the CUNY School of Medicine is through a seven-year B.S./M.D. curriculum offered as part of the Sophie Davis Biomedical Education Program at The City College of New York. The program integrates a baccalaureate education with preclinical medical education. Admission to the school is highly selective, with an acceptance rate of around 4%, rivaling the Ivy League.

The City College "stampede" was a crowd crush event that occurred on December 28, 1991, in the City College of New York gymnasium during a charity basketball game headlined by hip hop celebrities Puff Daddy and Heavy D. Outside of the event, crowds were able to break at least one glass door leading into the gymnasium lobby. The crowd then rushed the lobby and down a short staircase that led to the gymnasium. However, a set of doors at the bottom of the stairs opened inward into the lobby, not outward into the gymnasium, and nine people were crushed to death at the bottom of staircase, while 29 others were injured. No criminal charges were filed following the incident, although multiple wrongful death and personal injury lawsuits were filed.
