Treffurt

Schnellmannshäuser Bach is a river of Thuringia, Germany. It flows into the Werra near Treffurt.

Heldra is a village in the Werra-Meißner-Kreis on northeastern edge of Hesse, Germany. For administrative purposes it has been, since 1972, part of Wanfried, but the district is a rural one and Wanfried is 7 km (4 miles) away to the north.

The Tower of Unity (German: Turm der Einheit) is a 30-meter-high (98 ft) observation tower on Heldrastein, a rocky mountain belonging to Treffurt in Thuringia. The tower of Unity has an unusual history and is also from unusual design, because it is additionally guyed by anchoring wires, although it is actually free standing. The tower of Unity was built in 1962 as transmitting tower for a radar station. At that time it was an open steel lattice tower additionally guyed with the radar facility on its top. The area of this tower was not accessible for tourists at those days as it laid in the restricted area of the former border between West and East Germany. In 1989, when the border was opened, the area became again accessible for the public and the desire developed to build on Heldrastein again an observation tower, as there was until 1952 an observation tower built of stones, the such called Carl Alexander tower there. In 1996 finally permission for the transformation of the radar tower into an observation tower could be received. In order to do this changes, which cost 205,000 DM, the radome on the top was removed and the tower body was covered with wood. In addition the tower got a stairway with 166 steps and an octagonal shelter at the tower basement.

Katharinenberg is a village and a former municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Since 1 December 2011, it is part of the municipality Südeichsfeld.

It was formed by the merger of the previously independent municipalities Heyerode, Katharinenberg, Hildebrandshausen and Lengenfeld unterm Stein, on 1 December 2011. On 1 January 2024, it absorbed the former municipality Hallungen.

Frankenroda is a village and a former municipality in Wartburgkreis, Thuringia, Germany. On 1 January 2024 it became part of the town Amt Creuzburg.

Hildebrandshausen is a village and a former municipality in the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis district of Thuringia, Germany. Since 1 December 2011, it is part of the municipality Südeichsfeld.

Hildebrandshausen/Lengenfeld unterm Stein is a former Verwaltungsgemeinschaft in the district of Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis in Thuringia, Germany. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Lengenfeld unterm Stein. It was disbanded in December 2011. The Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Hildebrandshausen/Lengenfeld unterm Stein consists of the following municipalities: Hildebrandshausen Lengenfeld unterm Stein Rodeberg

Wanfried is a town in the Werra-Meißner-Kreis in northeasternmost Hesse, Germany. It is classified as a Landstadt, a designation given in Germany to a municipality that is officially a town (Stadt), but whose population is below 5,000. It literally means “country town”.

Creuzburg is a town and a former municipality on the Werra river in the Wartburgkreis in Thuringia, Germany. Since December 2019, it is part of the town Amt Creuzburg.

Amt Creuzburg is a town in the Wartburgkreis district, in Thuringia, Germany. It was created with effect from 31 December 2019 by the merger of the former municipalities of Creuzburg, Ebenshausen and Mihla. On 1 January 2024, it absorbed the former municipality Frankenroda. It takes its name from the town Creuzburg, the centre of the new municipality.
