The Denton Road-Sparks Foundation Park Pond Bridge is a road bridge carrying Denton Road over the Sparks Foundation Park pond in Jackson, Michigan. The original bridge, constructed c. 1931, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. This bridge was demolished and replaced in 2007.

The falls are both illuminated and choreographed and is the site of concerts and special events from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Three times a year, Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, fireworks displays are presented at the Cascade Falls. Since its creation in 1932, millions of people have enjoyed the beauty of The Cascades.

Nevertheless, the Republican Party's earliest history dates back to Jackson and is commemorated by a plaque in the city's Under the Oaks City Park, which has since been visited by numerous Republican presidents.At the beginning of the twentieth century, Jackson became an early automotive manufacturing center that attracted southerners and immigrants to the city's numerous factories, which saw its population increase significantly.

St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church is a parish of the Roman Catholic Church located in downtown Jackson, Michigan, in the Diocese of Lansing. It is dedicated to Our Lady, Star of the Sea. In 2008 it absorbed the congregations of St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel and the Chapel of Sacred Heart, also in Jackson.

Temple Beth Israel (Hebrew: בית ישראל) is a Reform Jewish synagogue located at 801 West Michigan Avenue in Jackson, Michigan, in the United States. Formed in 1862 by Jews of German background, it grew out of the Hebrew Benevolent Society, which had been organized in 1858, and was the second Reform congregation in Michigan.After meeting in downtown Jackson in two different buildings, the congregation moved to its current site, on Michigan Avenue, that was dedicated in 1949 and remodelled following a fire in 1971. The congregation's cemetery is the oldest Jewish cemetery in continuous use and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in June 2009.Dr. Jonathan V. Plaut, the son of the late rabbi Dr. W. Gunther Plaut, joined as rabbi in 2000 and served the congregation until his death in 2012. In September 2011 Rabbi S. Robert Morais became Beth Israel's rabbi.

The Hugh H. Richard House, also known as the Hand Building, or Fossores Chapter House, located at 505 Wildwood Avenue in Jackson, Michigan, was built as a single-family home, and later converted to office use. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.
