Arlington station is an underground light rail station on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Green Line located at the southwest corner of the Boston Public Garden at the corner of Arlington and Boylston Streets at the east end of the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. Arlington station was not included in the original construction of the Boylston Street subway, which opened in 1914. Its construction was delayed by World War I, and the station ultimately opened in 1921.

The Boston Park Plaza is a historic hotel in Boston, Massachusetts, United States, opened on March 10, 1927. It was built by hotelier E.M. Statler as part of his Statler Hotels chain. A prototype of the grand American hotel, it was called a "city within a city" and also contains an adjoining office building. It was the first hotel in the world to offer in-room radio in every room.

The Park Square Theatre was a theatre in Park Square in Boston, Massachusetts, designed by architect Clarence Blackall. It opened January 19, 1914, as the Cort Theatre, named for impresario John Cort. It was his first theatrical venue in Boston.In August 1915 the Cort Theatre was purchased by Archibald and Edgar Selwyn and renamed the Park Square Theatre. In 1921 it was renamed the Selwyn Theatre, one of many Selwyn theatres in the United States. In time the building was replaced by a parking garage.

The Paine Furniture Building is an historic commercial building at 75-81 Arlington Street in Boston, Massachusetts. It occupies the entire block between St. James and Stuart Streets, and has a prominent position on Park Square. The ten-story building was constructed in 1914 in a Classical Revival style, to a design by Densmore and LeClear. It was designed to house the showrooms, offices, and manufacturing facilities of the Paine Furniture Company, at one time the largest furniture company in New England. The company sold the building in 1989. It has steel frame construction, and is faced in limestone.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It is currently a pending Boston Landmark. Suffolk University's New England School of Art and Design currently occupies part of the building.
