Taft Middle School

Taft Stadium is a WPA-built stadium in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is the current home to teams from Northwest Classen High School, John Marshall High School, Classen School of Advanced Studies, Oklahoma Centennial High School, as well as a professional soccer team, Oklahoma City Energy FC. Built in 1934, the stadium closed in 2013 and reopened in 2015 following substantial renovation. As part of the renovation the seating capacity was reduced from approximately 18,000 to approximately 7,500, with the red-stone facade being the only feature left unaltered. A new all-weather track replaced a dirt track which was installed in 1946.In addition to the high school uses for which it was designed, Taft Stadium also briefly hosted professional football games in 1968 as home of the Oklahoma City Plainsmen of the Continental Football League. Professional soccer's Oklahoma City Slickers also hosted games there in 1982–1983, and (as the Oklahoma City Stampede) in 1984.In January 2013, the Oklahoma City Public School District announced a plan to apply revenues from a past 2007 bond issue, as well as other funds, to substantially renovate both Taft Stadium and Speegle Stadium in Oklahoma City. The combined budget was $19 million, with $9.7 million of that amount allocated to Taft Stadium specifically.In June 2013, the Oklahoma City Public Schools District announced they had granted a multi-year lease to OKC Pro Soccer, LLC, led by Tim McLaughlin. OKC Energy FC (USL Pro), owned by McLaughlin and Bob Funk, Jr. will begin play at Taft Stadium in 2015. A $2 per ticket surcharge will support Fields & Futures, a local nonprofit created in 2012 to support Oklahoma City Public Schools Athletics in its effort to rebuild 44 athletic fields and provide professional development and improved resources for the district's 265 coaches and 4,500 student-athletes.

Northwest Classen High School is a public high school serving students in grades 9–12 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Shepherd Mall is a former shopping mall located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that opened in 1964 as the first fully inclosed indoor shopping mall in Oklahoma City, however by 2003 all of the anchors had closed and the mall was well under way in transitioning to being primarily an office complex.

Will Rogers Gardens is a 30-acre (12 ha) park in Oklahoma City located at the corner of 36th Street and Portland Avenue. It is one of the city's historic parks and is open year-round. Will Rogers Gardens features the Charles E. Sparks Rose Garden, a 7-acre (2.8 ha) arboretum and a conservatory with a cacti and succulent collection. It also features display beds of daylilies, iris, azaleas, herbs and peonies. Gardening and nature related classes for all ages and other events are often held in the Garden Exhibition Building, the main building at Will Rogers Gardens. The Gardens, Conservatory and rooms in the Exhibition center are also available to rent for weddings and other events. Will Rogers Gardens is part of Will Rogers Park, which features a family aquatics center, the 24-court Oklahoma City Tennis Center, a disk golf course, and one of Oklahoma City's two senior adult recreation centers.

The Oklahoma State Fair is a comparitively large fair and exposition in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It takes place in mid-September each year, and is one of two state fairs in Oklahoma. During the eleven-day run, the Oklahoma State Fair attracts close to one million people. The fairgrounds also holds horse shows and rodeos in itef. No fair was held in 1917–18, 1945 nor 2020. The fair was held for reasons of "morale" and patriotic and educational displays during WWII except 1945. Fair patrollers include security guards, the Oklahoma City Police and Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office.

All Sports Stadium was a stadium located at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It had a capacity of 15,000 people and opened in 1961. While it was primarily used for baseball and was the home of Oklahoma City 89ers, it was also a popular outdoor concert venue in Oklahoma City. The 89ers baseball team was renamed to Oklahoma RedHawks and moved to AT&T Bricktown Ballpark in 1998. The stadium also hosted various college baseball events, such as Bedlam Baseball between the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University and the Big Eight Conference Baseball Tournament for more than twenty years.The stadium was closed in 1997 and demolished in 2005.

The NW 39th Street Enclave, also known as "The Strip," "May-Penn," "39th & Penn" or simply "39th Street" is a prominent lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) district in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The area is located along NW 39th Street in the city's northwest quadrant, one block west of Pennsylvania Avenue.Northwest 39th Street Enclave is home to many of Oklahoma's most popular gay and lesbian bars and nightclubs, in addition to a number of retail stores, eateries, and apartment complexes catering to Oklahoma City's LGBT community. While Oklahoma City's openly gay population is relatively average for a city of its size, the NW 39th Street Enclave is widely regarded as the largest gay and lesbian district in the Great Plains and central regions of the United States, and one of the largest in the Southern.The NW 39th Street district attracts large numbers of gay and lesbian tourists, particularly on weekends, from elsewhere in Oklahoma and from the surrounding states of Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Texas. The neighborhood is also a popular stopping point for cross-country LGBT travelers. Most of the district's attractions are concentrated around or near the District Hotel (which had a long history as the Habana Inn before being briefly rebranded as the Hotel Habana). This hotel, promoted as "Oklahoma City’s renowned wonderland for adults" and "a multi-venue experience," features a variety of guest rooms, a lounge bar, nightclub, billiards, darts and two pools, and also promotes a forthcoming restaurant and business center. The hotel, which requires all guests to be 21 years or older to be on its property, hosts various LGBT events and gatherings.

Jim Norick Arena (formerly Fairgrounds Arena) is a large multi-purpose arena located at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Completed in 1965 at a cost of $2.4 million, it was the largest indoor facility in Oklahoma City until the construction of the Myriad Convention Center. It is named for Jim Norick, the mayor of Oklahoma City during the building's construction.The building was unique in that it had the largest roof of its type in the world. It is the second largest city-owned multi-purpose arena, after Paycom Center, and it has the largest impact for a publicly owned facility in Oklahoma City.It was home to the Oklahoma City Blazers of the CHL from 1965 to 1972. It was also home to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association’s National Finals Rodeo from 1965 to 1978, when the event was moved to the Myriad. Elvis Presley played here on November 16, 1970, to a sell out crowd of around 11,000. The Grateful Dead's performance on October 19, 1973, was recorded and later released as Dick's Picks Volume 19. Today, the arena is used during the Oklahoma State Fair to host Disney on Ice and the state fair rodeo. It is also the venue for the Oklahoma small school state basketball tournaments, school graduations, and various other equine events through the year.Construction on a new $85 million coliseum to replace the Norick Arena is scheduled to begin in September 2022, after which the old arena will be demolished.

Oklahoma State University–Oklahoma City (OSU-OKC) is a public university in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is part of the Oklahoma State University System. Founded in 1961 as a branch of Oklahoma State University–Stillwater, its name changed from Oklahoma State University Technical Institute to its current designation in 1990. The school offers more than 40 degrees and/or certificates. Classes are held weekdays and weeknights, on-campus, online and hybrid, with intersession courses available. The university is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Oklahoma City University (OCU) is a private university historically affiliated with the United Methodist Church and located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The university offers undergraduate bachelor's degrees, graduate master's degrees and doctoral degrees, organized into eight colleges and schools and one Methodist seminary. Students can major in more than 70 undergraduate majors, 20 graduate degrees, including a JD, MBA and PhD in Nursing, and an Adult Studies Program for working adults to earn a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. The university has approximately 3,000 students, including 1,200 graduate students. The official school and athletic colors are blue and white.

Abe Lemons Arena is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of Oklahoma City University in Uptown Oklahoma City. It is the home arena of the OCU Stars athletic teams, and in 2007 was to be home to the Oklahoma City Cavalry of the Continental Basketball Association. The arena seats 3,500 and was named for legendary basketball coach Abe Lemons, who won 599 games in 35 years as a head coach from 1955–90.

Cristo Rey OKC is a Roman Catholic, private high school founded by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City in 2018 to provide college preparatory education. In conjunction with local businesses, the students' education is subsidized through the work-study model characteristic of schools in the Cristo Rey Network, of which it is a member. Opened on the fall of 2018, the high school is located on the campus of Oklahoma State University–Oklahoma City.
