One Woodward Avenue

One Griswold Street (formerly also known as the Standard Savings Building and the Raymond James Building) is a high-rise building in the Financial District of Detroit, Michigan, United States. The building sits at the intersection of Griswold Street and West Jefferson Avenue, on the same city block occupied by 150 West Jefferson. Since 2007, the building has been owned by the Church of Scientology, which operates the building as the Church of Scientology Detroit. Between 2017 and 2018, the building underwent an extensive renovation that restored much of its interior appearance, including a grand staircase and mezzanine for the first and second floors.

The Guardian Building is a landmark skyscraper in the United States, located at 500 Griswold Street in Downtown Detroit, Michigan, within the Financial District. The Guardian is a class-A office building owned by Wayne County, Michigan and serves as its headquarters. Built in 1928 and finished in 1929, the building was originally called the Union Trust Building and is a bold example of Art Deco architecture, including art moderne designs. At the top of the Guardian Building's spire is a large U.S. flag, complementing the four smaller flags atop nearby 150 West Jefferson. The building has undergone recent award-winning renovations. It was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 29, 1989, and the associated Detroit Financial District is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Guardian building includes retail and a tourist gift shop.

The Ford Building is a high-rise office building located at 615 Griswold Street in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. It stands at the northwest corner of Congress and Griswold Streets, in the heart of Detroit's Financial District. The Penobscot Building abuts the building to the north, and the Guardian Building is southeast across Griswold Street. Toledo, Ohio, glass manufacturer Edward Ford and his son, John B. Ford, general manager of the Fords' Wyandotte, Michigan, alkali plant, had this building—then Detroit's tallest—constructed as an investment property.

150 West Jefferson is a skyscraper and class-A office center in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. The building's construction began in 1987 and was completed in 1989. It stands at 26 stories tall, with two basement floors, for a total of 28. The building stands at 150 West Jefferson Avenue, between Shelby Street and Griswold Street, and between Jefferson and Larned Street bordering the Detroit Financial District. Detroit's two oldest law firms, Butzel Long and Miller, Canfield, Paddock & Stone, are headquartered in the building. KPMG and Amazon also have offices 150 West Jefferson.REDICO, a Southfield-based commercial real estate firm, purchased the building in July 2016.

The Spirit of Detroit is a monument with a large bronze statue created by Marshall Fredericks and located at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, Michigan.

The Monument to Joe Louis, known also as The Fist, is a memorial dedicated to boxer Joe Louis located at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Woodward Avenue in Detroit, near Hart Plaza.

Congress Street is a QLINE streetcar station in Detroit, Michigan. Located in the city's Financial District near the edge of Downtown, Congress Street serves as the QLINE's southern terminus. The station opened for service on May 12, 2017. It is two blocks away from the Detroit People Mover's Financial District station.

Financial District station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. Located on Larned Street in the city's Financial District, the station is attached to 150 West Jefferson, with direct access from the platform to the building's lobby. Financial District is located across the street from the Buhl Building, home to the headquarters of the Detroit Transportation Corporation and SMART. It is also the nearest station to Hart Plaza, One Woodward Avenue, and the Penobscot and Guardian buildings. The People Mover shut down temporarily on March 30, 2020, due to decreased ridership amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the system's May 2022 restart, Financial District station reopened on June 2, 2022.

Ally Detroit Center, formerly One Detroit Center, is a skyscraper and class-A office building located in Downtown Detroit, overlooking the Detroit Financial District. Rising 619 feet (189 m), the 43-story tower is the tallest office building in Michigan and the second tallest building overall in the state behind the central hotel tower of the Renaissance Center, located a few blocks away. Although the Penobscot Building has more floors above ground (45), those of Ally Detroit Center are taller, with its roof sitting roughly 60 feet (18 m) taller than that of the Penobscot. It has a floor area of 1,674,708 sq ft (155,585.5 m2).

Meridian Health Plan Headquarters was a planned highrise in the Campus Martius district of downtown Detroit. The skyscraper would have had 16 stories with office space, ground level retail outlets, a state-of-the-art plaza, and a 9-story, 1,000 space parking deck. Detroit-based Meridian Health Plan would have been the sole office tenant in the 16-story building on the block bounded by Monroe, Bates and Farmer streets by Campus Martius Park. Meridian planned to occupy to 300,000 square feet of space in the $111 million development. Designs for the Class A building included first-floor retail space and a nine-story, 1,000-space parking deck. The brownfield incentives would be for site preparation and infrastructure improvements at the 1.96-acre site, a 230-space surface parking lot. Meridian, which has about 620 employees in two downtown offices in One Kennedy Square, 777 Woodward Ave., and the Dan Gilbert-owned 1001 Woodward building, would move into its new headquarters in early 2017, according to Sean Cotton, the company's general counsel. By that time, the company expects to have 1,050 employees in Detroit. Meridian initiated the new building project and hired Livonia-based Schostak Bros. as the developer.

Philip A. Hart Plaza, in downtown Detroit, is a city plaza along the Detroit River. It is located more or less on the site at which Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac landed in 1701 when he founded Fort Pontchartrain du Détroit, the settlement that became Detroit. In 2011, the Detroit-Wayne County Port Authority opened its new cruise ship passenger terminal and dock at Hart Plaza, adjacent to the Renaissance Center, which receives major cruise ships such as the MS Hamburg and the Yorktown.The 14-acre (5.7 ha) plaza, which is named for the late U.S. Senator Philip Hart, opened in 1975 and has a capacity for about 40,000 people. At the center of the plaza is the Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain, designed by Isamu Noguchi and Walter Budd in 1978.

The Buhl Building is a skyscraper and class-A office center in Downtown Detroit, Michigan. Architect Wirt C. Rowland designed the Buhl in a Neo-Gothic style with Romanesque accents. Constructed in 1925, it stands at 26 stories in the Detroit Financial District across Congress Street from the Penobscot Building and across Griswold Street from the Guardian Building, all of which were designed by Wirt C. Rowland. The Buhl Building stands on the corner of Congress St. West, and Griswold St. in Downtown Detroit. The building stands atop what used to be the Savoyard Creek near its confluence with the Detroit River. In 1836, the creek was covered and turned into a sewer. The Savoyard Club occupied the 27th floor of the Buhl Building from 1928 until its membership dwindled and the club closed in 1994. The Buhl Building houses the headquarters of SMART and the Detroit Transportation Corporation. Hubbell, Roth & Clark, a civil engineering firm, is also based in the building. The Citizens Bank Building in downtown Saginaw, Michigan was modeled after the Buhl Building. The architectural sculpture on the building was designed by Corrado Parducci.
