Coltano

The Tora is a stream in the province of Livorno, Tuscany, central Italy. It is a stretch of water from below Pisan Hills, south of the Arno Valley. With its 29 kilometres it is the longest river that receives most of its tributaries from Livorno Hills. It leads in Scolmatore dell'Arno near Mortaiolo.

Mortaiolo is a hamlet in the comune of Collesalvetti (province of Livorno, Italy), located near Vicarello. The village, which has about 150 inhabitants, is located in a flat triangle between two rivers: the Scolmatore dell'Arno and River Tora. The activity of those who reside in the area is agriculture. An important contribution to the enhancement of the area was the Frescobaldi wine production, which owns a plantation called "The vineyards of Nugola" of over eighty hectares located in the small town, located in an old cottage near the river Tora.

Pisa Aeroporto railway station (Italian: Stazione di Pisa Aeroporto) was a railway station within Pisa International Airport, Italy. A shuttle train service operated between it and the nearby main railway station in Pisa, Pisa Centrale railway station, although there were also a few direct services to Florence. It was closed on 15 December 2013 to make way for the construction of a fully automated people mover, called PisaMover, which operates services to Pisa Centrale every five minutes. PisaMover came into operation in March 2017.

San Piero a Grado (Italian: Basilica di San Pietro Apostolo) is a church in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy, in the eponymous frazione 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of the city center. The church is located where once was a now disappeared port of the Pisan Republic, where, according to the legend, St. Peter landed in Italy from Antiochia in 44 AD.

Porto Pisano, also known as Triturrita, was the main seaport of the Republic of Pisa, located on the Ligurian Sea coast close to the mouth of the Arno River. In the 13th century, at its peak, Porto Pisano was one of the most important sea ports in Italy, which rivaled if not surpassed both Genoa and Venice.In the Battle of Meloria in 1284 Porto Pisano was blockaded by the Genoese fleet, and Pisa suffered a heavy defeat, which eventually resulted in its decline. Subsequently, Porto Pisano was controlled by Genoa. On August 28, 1421, the port was sold to Florence which has chosen to use Livorno as its principal seaport, since Porto Pisano suffered from increasing alluvial deposits, and the coastline had moved away from the port. After the 16th century, it ceased entirely to be used. Currently the site of Porto Pisano is occupied by San Piero a Grado, a suburb of Pisa.

Stagno is a town in Tuscany, central Italy, administratively a frazione of the comune of Collesalvetti, province of Livorno. At the time of the 2011 census its population was 4,370. The town is about 4 km from Livorno and 12 km from Collesalvetti.

San Donnino is a church in Pisa, Italy. A church was known at the site since 1242, and construction of the present structure began in 1303. It was adjacent to a Benedictine Monastery. In 1575, Cardinal Ferdinando de' Medici conceded the monastery to the Capuchins. Gravely damaged during World War II, it was subsequently restored. The interior contains frescoes of the Madonna and child and a wooden crucifix, both from the 14th century. It also has canvases by Giovanni Bilivert (1636) and Giovanni Battista Tempesti (1770). Here, before the Allied aerial bombings, was the tomb of the Pisan architect Alessandro Gherardesca.

Pisa Centrale railway station (Italian: Stazione di Pisa Centrale) is the central station of the Italian city of Pisa, the first station of the city in terms of passengers, before Pisa-San Rossore railway station. The station is one of the major railway junctions of Tuscany. Lines serving the station include three long-distance lines: the Pisa–Livorno–Rome line, the Pisa–La Spezia–Genoa line and the Pisa–Florence line. Local services operate on the Lucca–Pisa line. The line from Pisa to Vada via Collesalvetti, which was closed from 1992 to 2000, is now only open for freight traffic.

San Michele degli Scalzi is a church located in Piazza San Michele degli Scalzi, in the eastern part of Pisa, Italy. It had also been known as the church of San Michele degli Scalzi in Orticaia, referring to the swampy nature of the site at the time of its founding. The term Scalzi refers to the barefoot monks linked to the church. Dating back to the 11th century, it has been restored several times in the original Romanesque style.
