Longview Lake

Longview Farm in Lee's Summit, Missouri, United States was built by Robert A. Long. In planning the farm Long turned to Henry F. Hoit of Hoit, Price and Barnes, as he had designed Corinthian Hall and the R.A. Long Building. George Kessler was chosen as the landscape architect. The farm and over 50 other structures were built on 1,780 acres. Construction started in 1913 and completed in 1914 taking just 18 months to complete. The result is what came to be known as The World's Most Beautiful Farm. Construction workers included 50 Belgian craftsmen and 200 Sicilian stonemasons, among 2,000 other workers, to build the Longview Mansion and farm. Employing 175 people, the farm not only consisted of all the amenities to care for the Longs prize horses but also a modern dairy, including prize Jersey cows, that produced enough milk for the farm, community, and charities. Hogs, chickens, farm land for the food, as well as green houses and a manicured main yard of 225 acres, were all part of the expansive farm. Scenic and self-sufficient, the farm and dairy even included underground electricity and a 100,000 gallon water tower.

Ruskin Heights is a neighborhood in southeast Kansas City, Missouri, Jackson County. This neighborhood was made in the early 1950s as a postwar suburb on former farmland. It had a total population of 23,874 people in 2020, making it one of the most densely populated neighborhoods of Kansas City. It has a total land area of approximately 0.794 square miles (2.06 km2). Ruskin High School is located in the southern part of Kansas City, Missouri, United States and is within the Hickman Mills C-1 School District. Ruskin High School's sports teams are called the Golden Eagles. Ruskin High School had its first graduating class in 1930. In August 2010, former Hickman Mills students merged with the Ruskin student body and became the Ruskin Academy of Engineering.

Washington Township is an inactive township in Jackson County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.Washington Township was established in 1836, taking its name from President George Washington.Most of the township was annexed to be included within the city limits of Kansas City sometime after 1930. In 1930, Washington Township included what corresponds now to the southern half of the part of Kansas City lying within Jackson County, and the villages within it were Dodson, Holmes Park, Dallas, Redbridge, Hickmans Mill, Santa Fe, Martin City, and Grandview (still a separate city from Kansas City as of 2018). Hickman Mills is a neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri in the Kansas City metropolitan area. There is good access to the Interstate and Federal highway system, with I-435, I-470, and US-71/I-49 running through the area, including the Grandview Triangle. It also includes Longview Lake and Longview Community College. It is covered by the Hickman Mills C-1 School District.

The Vale Tunnel is a railway tunnel south of Raytown, near Kansas City, Missouri. It was built by the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific railroad in 1903-04, and was the final tunnel of four to be built on the entire Rock Island railroad, all of which were in Missouri. The tunnel is part of the Kansas City to St. Louis, Missouri line, and travels beneath Bannister Road. In 1980, the Rock Island was liquidated in court and the tunnel and line across Missouri was eventually sold to the St. Louis Southwestern Railway (AKA Cotton Belt). The tunnel is 441 feet long. There have been several owners of the line since 1980, after the Rock Island went bankrupt. Most of the line remains intact as does the tunnel, except for a few places where it has been cut for road improvements. In 2016, the line was bought by Jackson County, Missouri. The line was converted into the Rock Island Rail Trail. The first phase was completed in June 2019, and was 6.4 miles. The second phase was opened in July 2021 with an additional 7 miles, for a total length of 13.5 miles. Vale Tunnel has received lighting and is one of the center pieces of the trail.

Bannister Road is a major east–west street in Kansas City, Missouri, US, replacing 95th Street. It stretches 10.9 miles (17.5 km) from State Line Road at the Kansas-Missouri state line in the west to Route 350 and Unity Village in the east. It continues west as 95th Street into Kansas, and east as Colbern Road into Unity Village and Lee's Summit.

Archbishop O'Hara High School was a Roman Catholic high school in Kansas City, Missouri. It was located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. The school was also associated with the De La Salle Christian Brothers, and was one of the ministries of the Midwest District of the Brothers.

The Harry S. Truman Farm Home, also known as the Solomon Young Farm, is a historic farm property at 12301 Blue Ridge Blvd in Grandview, Missouri. The farm property, first developed in the 1860s, was the residence of future U.S. president Harry S. Truman from 1906 to 1917. The house is part of Harry S. Truman National Historic Site, and is a designated National Historic Landmark.

Summit Woods Crossing is an open air shopping center in Lee's Summit, Missouri which is located on US Hwy 50 at I-470. Summit Woods Crossing is across US 50 from Summit Fair. It opened in 2001.
