The University of Oklahoma College of Liberal Studies (CLS) is an accredited, academic division of the University of Oklahoma (OU) in Norman, Oklahoma. As the first interdisciplinary Liberal Studies degree program in the country, the college was established in 1961 to fill the need for non-traditional students to continue their education while balancing external obligations. In 2003, the college began offering OU’s first 100% online degree. As of Fall 2013, the college has an enrollment of 1058 undergraduates and 602 graduate students.As one of OU's 20 colleges, all CLS undergraduate and graduate degree programs are regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, a part of the Higher Learning Commission. In U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 publication, Best Online Bachelor’s Programs, the College of Liberal Studies was ranked eighth nationally and, in the same publication, it was ranked 10th for its Criminal Justice program.

The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is a natural history museum located on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. The museum was founded in 1899 by an act of the Oklahoma Territorial Legislature. Its current building was completed in 1999. The museum contains approximately "7 million objects and specimens in 12 collections." It has almost 50,000 sq ft (4,600 m2) of exhibit space, with five galleries and exhibits that provide an in-depth tour of Oklahoma's natural history. It is "one of the world's largest university-based natural history museums."Before its 1999 relocation and expansion, the original museum chartered by the Legislature in 1899 had occupied much smaller quarters on campus. It was known as the Stovall Museum of Science & History, named for J. Willis Stovall, a paleontologist and faculty professor who assembled much of the original collection.

The International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame (IACEHOF) was founded in 1996 "to honor leaders in the fields of continuing education and adult learning and to serve as a record and inspiration for the next generation of continuing education leaders". Annually, around ten adult and continuing education leaders from around the world are selected for induction into the IACE Hall of Fame. Logo of the society:

The L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park is home to the University of Oklahoma Sooners baseball team.

University of Oklahoma Observatory (IAU code H30) is an astronomical observatory. It is located in Norman, Oklahoma on the campus of the University of Oklahoma. Built in 1939, with a 10-inch Newtonian reflector and a smaller 3.5-inch telescope, it was housed in a 16-foot dome atop what was at the time the southernmost building on campus. In 1995, the original 10-inch telescope was replaced by a 0.4 meters (16 inches) Meade SCT.

The Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication is the journalism unit of the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The college is named for the former longtime publishers of The Oklahoman.

The Lloyd Noble Center is a 10,967-seat multi-purpose arena located in Norman, Oklahoma, some 19 mi (31 km) south of downtown Oklahoma City. It opened in 1975 and is home to the University of Oklahoma men's and women's basketball teams.

The Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education is the education unit of the University of Oklahoma in Norman. As of fall 2005, the school had an enrollment of 639 undergraduates and 777 graduates. The building is also called Collings Hall. The College of Education began in 1930 under then president William Bennett Bizzell. It was headed by its first dean, Dr. Ellsworth Collings. To this day, the College of Education main offices reside in Collings Hall. Dr. Gregg Garn is the current dean. In October 2008 it was announced that the College of Education had received a $8 million gift from H.E. (Gene) Rainbolt in honor of his late wife, Jeannine Rainbolt. Because of that contribution, the OU Board of Regents unanimously voted to rename the college in Rainbolt's honor. It is the only college at OU to be named for a female.Part of Rainbolt's gift, with other gifts and university funding, was used to pay for a $9.5 million renovation to Collings Hall. Construction, which concluded in summer of 2010, reconstructed the building's facade and add an additional 15,000 feet of classroom space. It was the building's first major building project since 1958.The Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education was designated an Apple Distinguished Program for 2013–15. The Apple Distinguished Program designation is reserved for programs that meet criteria for innovation, leadership and educational excellence and demonstrate Apple's vision of exemplary learning environments. The college participates in a one-to-one iPad initiative, where students who are enrolled in the undergraduate teacher education program each receive an iPad at the beginning of their first semester in the college. Upon successful completion of the degree program the students keep the device and the digital content they created to use in their teaching careers.

The Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma is the architecture unit of the University of Oklahoma in Norman. It offers over 30 undergraduate and graduate degrees in four divisions. In Spring 2023, it had an enrollment of 675 undergraduates and 197 graduates.

Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, also known as Owen Field or The Palace on the Prairie, is the football stadium on the campus of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. It serves as the home of the Oklahoma Sooners football team. The official seating capacity of the stadium, following renovations before the start of the 2019 season, is 86,112, making it the 22nd largest stadium in the world, the 13th largest college stadium in the United States and the second largest in the Big 12 Conference, behind Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin.The stadium is a bowl-shaped facility with its long axis oriented north/south, with both the north and south ends enclosed. The south end has only been enclosed since the 2015-2016 off-season, when it was renovated as part of a $160 million project. Visitor seating is in the south end zone and the southern sections of the east side. The student seating sections are in the east stands, surrounding the 350-member Pride of Oklahoma band which sits in section 29, between the 20- and 35-yard lines. The Sooners' bench was once located on the east side with the students, but the home bench was moved to the west side in the mid-1990s.

The 2005 University of Oklahoma bombing occurred on October 1, 2005 at approximately 7:30 p.m. CDT, when a bomb went off near the George Lynn Cross Hall on Van Vleet Oval on the University of Oklahoma (OU) main campus. The blast took place less than 200 yards west of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where 84,501 spectators were attending a football game. The bomber, OU student Joel "Joe" Henry Hinrichs III, was killed in the explosion; no one else was killed.After the incident, speculation began immediately about Hinrichs' motivation and the number of accomplices, if any. An off-duty police officer had noted Hinrichs talking with a local feed store owner about ammonium nitrate and had begun an investigation. There was innuendo regarding the Pakistani heritage of the bomber's roommate. Terrorism-related speculation was heightened after the explosive agent was found to be TATP, an explosive of similar manufacture, though separate makeup, to the compound used in the July 2005 London bombings, the attempted destruction of an airplane by a shoe bomber, and by Hamas in clandestine devices for use by suicide bombers. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and local authorities concluded in 2006 that Hinrichs acted alone and had no assistance from other groups. They could not prove or disprove allegations that Hinrichs intended to enter the packed stadium and kill football fans along with himself.

The University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences, also known as the College of A&S (or simply CAS) is the liberal arts and sciences unit of the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Established in 1909, the college is currently the largest unit at OU in terms of the number of students enrolled. Classes are held all over campus but the main office is located in Ellison Hall on the main campus in Norman.
