Uhldingen-Mühlhofen

The Seefelder Aach is a river in the districts of Sigmaringen and Bodenseekreis, Tübingen region, southern Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is approximately 55 kilometres long and flows into Lake Constance. It has a catchment area of 279 km² and is part of the Rhine river system. It starts as Salemer Aach and becomes the Seefelder Aach after the conjunction with the Deggenhauser Aach, further down from Salem. The upper part – near Aach-Linz – it is also colloquially called Linzer Aach or Hintere Aach.

Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen (German for 'Stilt house museum') is an archaeological open-air museum on Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Unteruhldingen, Germany, consisting of reconstructions of stilt houses or lake dwellings from the Neolithic and Bronze Age.

Unteruhldingen is a small village, part of the town of Uhldingen-Mühlhofen, on the northwestern shore of Lake Constance, Germany. It is home to the Pfahlbauten, an open-air museum displaying reconstructions of Neolithic and Bronze Age pile dwellings. The buildings are idealized reconstructions from between the 1922 and 1941, which were designed based on archeological digs of the Wasserburg Buchau at Federsee. After 1945 the museum was led by the controversial but knowledgeable archeologist Hans Reinerth, one of the leading Nazi archaeologists of Amt Rosenberg. This museum has been expanded since to incorporate modern research.

Daisendorf is a village and a commune with about 1600 inhabitants in south-western Germany. It is part of the Bodensee district, which is part of the Land Baden-Württemberg.

Meersburg Castle (German: Burg Meersburg), also known as the Alte Burg (English: Old Castle), in Meersburg on Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, is considered to be one of the oldest inhabited castles in Germany. The central tower was first built during the 7th century, though the original structure is no longer visible. Burg Meersburg is known as the old castle, in the reference to the neighboring 18th century New Castle.

The Neues Schloss Meersburg (New Castle in Meersburg) is located in Meersburg near Lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. From its construction in 1750 until the bishopric was dissolved in 1803 it was the seat of the Prince-Bishop of Constance.

The Little House, also called the Prince's House (Fürstenhäusle), is a historic house and museum located in Meersburg, Germany, overlooking Lake Constance. It was the residence of the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff, to whom the museum is dedicated.

Schule Schloss Salem (Anglicisation: School of Salem Castle) is a boarding school with campuses in Salem and Überlingen in Baden-Württemberg, Southern Germany. It offers the German Abitur and the International Baccalaureate (IB). With service-oriented programs like firebrigade and a THW (Technical Support Organisation), the school seeks to offer education on a social as well as academic level. The school was established in 1920 by educator Kurt Hahn with the support of Prince Maximilian of Baden, and was co-educational from the start. In the period of the Third Reich, Hahn, who was Jewish, was forced to emigrate to Scotland, where he founded the British Salem School of Gordonstoun and subsequently the Outward Bound organisation and the United World Colleges.

Salem Minster (German: Salemer Münster) is the Roman Catholic parish church of the community of Salem, Baden-Württemberg and was the abbey church of the former imperial abbey of Salem. It was built in Gothic architecture from around 1285 to 1420 as a three-aisled columned basilica and is one of the most important High Gothic Cistercian buildings in the German-speaking world. The exterior of the church largely corresponds to the original design, while alterations to the interior have had a lasting effect on the sense of space within. The inventory includes furnishings from the late Gothic, Baroque, Rococo and Classicist periods. It is the third largest Gothic church in Baden-Württemberg after Ulm Minster and Freiburg Minster.

Salem Abbey (German: Kloster Salem) was a very prominent Cistercian monastery in Salem in the district of Bodensee about ten miles from Konstanz, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The buildings are now owned by the State of Baden-Württemberg and are open for tours as the Salem Monastery and Palace.

Salem is a municipality in the Bodensee district of Baden-Württemberg in Southern Germany, located 9 km north of Lake Constance, with a population of 11,100.
