The Plague Column (Slovak: Morový stĺp) or Immaculata is a Baroque plague column (Marian and Holy Trinity column) in Košice, Slovakia. The column is situated in a small park and commemorates the gratitude to Mary for an end to the plague epidemic from 1709 and 1710. It was erected at the place of medieval gallows at Fő utca (Main Street, now called Hlavná ulica) in 1723. Local legend holds that the relics of Saint Valentine are hidden beneath the structure. It is a 14-metre-high (46 ft) column on a stone basement with sculptures of Saint Joseph, Saint Sebastian and Saint Ladislaus. There is a sculpture of the Virgin Mary on the top of the column. The sculptures of Saint Gabriel, Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Saint Margaret, Saint Michael the Archangel and Saint Barbara are on the pillars of the fence. The statue was damaged during World War II. It was restored by academic sculptor Vojtech Löffler in the years 1949-1951 and 1971–1972. The last restoration took place in 1996–1998.

The Church of the Holy Trinity or commonly known as the Premonstratensian Church (Slovak: Premonštrátny kostol), or initially the Jesuit Church (Slovak: Jezuitský kostol), is a Roman Catholic church in Košice, Slovakia. It is an example of Baroque architecture in the city and was the site of the martyrdom of three saints in 1619.

Hlavná ulica (English: Main Street) is the central street of Košice, Slovakia. Most important historical monuments of Košice are located on it. The southern end of the street ends at Liberators Square, the northern end at Marathon Peace Square. Almost the entire Main Street is a pedestrian zone. There are three parks, each with a fountain. The largest is the so-called singing fountain, which can be found in the middle of the street between the cathedral of St. Elizabeth and the National Theatre. There are also two squares on the street - the Main Square and the Freedom Square. The main street was originally a medieval square. Its spindle-shaped plan has been preserved from those times.

St. Anthony of Padua Church or commonly known as the Franciscan Church (Slovak: Františkánsky kostol) or the Seminary Church (Slovak: Seminárny kostol) at Hlavná ulica (English: Main Street) is the second oldest church in Košice, Slovakia.

The National Theatre Košice (Slovak: Národné divadlo Košice) is situated in the centre of Košice, Slovakia. The representative building of the State Theatre was built in a Neo-baroque style according to projects of Adolf Lang during the years 1879–1899. The interior of the theatre is richly decorated with plaster ornaments. The stage is lyre-shaped. The ceiling of the building is decorated with scenes from William Shakespeare's plays Othello, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Slovak Technical Museum (Slovak: Slovenské technické múzeum, STM) is a major Slovak technology museum, based in the eastern Slovak city of Košice, with branches throughout Slovakia. It was established in 1947 and opened to the public in 1948, under the name Technical Museum (Technické múzeum). The museum was renamed to its current name in 1983. Its main exhibits and headquarters are located in the northern part of Košice's Main Street (Hlavná ulica), in the historical public building known as Kapitánsky palác (The Captain Palace).

The Urban Tower (Slovak: Urbanova veža) in Košice, Slovakia is a renaissance prismatic campanile with a pyramidal roof. It was erected in the 16th century. The St. Urban Bell, a church bell installed in the tower, has been dedicated to Saint Urban, the patron of vine-dressers. The bell was cast in a mould by the bell-founder Franciscus Illenfeld of Olomouc in 1557. Its weight is seven tonnes.In 1775 the pyramidal roof was constructed with a Baroque-style onion dome with an iron double cross. An arcade passage was erected around the tower in 1912. There are 36 old gravestones from the 14th and 15th centuries (one from the Roman Empire and dating back to the 4th century) bricked into the exterior walls of the St. Urban Tower. In 1966 the tower was damaged by fire and the St. Urban Bell was destroyed as well. The reconstructed tower was reopened in 1971. The renovated bell was located in the front of the tower and a copy of the bell (made by employees of VSŽ Steel Works Košice in 1996) was installed in the campanile. The East Slovak Museum set up an exhibition of foundry work in the tower after the reconstruction in 1977. It was removed in 1995. From the 2000s until the early 2010s, the tower also housed a unique wax museum exhibition in the tower, portraying historical personalities pertaining to Košice's history. Since then, the museum has closed.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary or commonly known as the Dominican Church (Slovak: Dominikánsky kostol) at Dominikánske námestie (English: Dominican Square) is the oldest church in Košice, Slovakia, and also the oldest preserved building in the town.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Košice (Slovak: Košická arcidiecéza, Latin: Archidioecesis Cassoviensis) is a Roman Catholic archdiocese in eastern Slovakia, with its seat in Košice. It covers the central and eastern parts of the Prešov and Košice regions, with an area of 10,403 km2. The diocese's area has a total population of 1,153,505 people, of which around 61% were of Catholic faith as of 2012. The Cathedral of St. Elizabeth serves as the seat of the diocese. The current Archbishop, Bernard Bober was appointed on June 4, 2010, and canonically took power of the archdiocese on July 10, 2010. He had formerly served as auxiliary bishop under Alojz Tkáč. On June 11, 2016, priest Marek Forgáč was appointed as the new auxiliary bishop by Pope Francis.

The Cathedral of St. Elizabeth (Slovak: Dóm svätej Alžbety, pronounced [ˈdɔːm ˈsʋɛɐtej ˈalʐbeti]; Hungarian: Szent Erzsébet-székesegyház, German: Dom der heiligen Elisabeth), also called Saint Elizabeth Cathedral, is a Gothic cathedral in Košice. It is the largest church in Slovakia and one of the easternmost Gothic cathedrals in Europe.The record of the existence of Kassa (Slovak: Košice), dating from 1230, is connected with the existence of the rectory church. In the process of the settlement's transformation from a rural community into a town, all its periods of successes and failures have been reflected in Saint Elizabeth Cathedral. According to historical and archaeological sources, the present-day cathedral was built on the place of an earlier church also consecrated to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary. It was referred to in documents of 1283 and 1290, in which the bishop of Eger Andrew II exempted Košice parish from the dean's sphere of jurisdiction.

The Archbishop's Palace of Košice, Slovakia, is a rococo-classical building, formerly the home of Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph I.

The Rákóczi's sculpture in Košice is a bronze statue of Francis II Rákóczi, situated in the Executioner's Bastion in the historical centre of Košice, Slovakia. It is placed in front of Rákóczi's memorial house, a replica of his house in the Turkish exile in Rodosto. The sculpture was unveiled on April 3, 2006 in memory of the 330th anniversary of Rákóczi's birth (March 27, 1676) and the 100th anniversary of his remains burial in Košice (remains of Francis II Rákóczi and his brothers-in-arms were buried in St. Elisabeth Cathedral on October 29, 1906). The sculpture was donated to the city of Košice by the Government of the Republic of Hungary. Rákóczi's sculpture is 230 cm (7 ft 7 in) high and weighs 500 kg (1,100 lb). It is placed on a polished granite pedestal that weighs 8,000 kg (17,600 lb) and is 70 cm (28 in) high and 300 cm (118 in) wide. The statue is an artwork of Hungarian sculptor Sándor Győrfi from Karcag.
