Harrowgate is a neighborhood in the River Wards section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States located immediately northeast of Kensington adjacent to Kensington Avenue. It is bordered by Feltonville, Juniata and Frankford to the north, Fairhill to the west, West Kensington and Kensington to the south, and Port Richmond and Bridesburg to the east.

The William Brown Company Hosiery Mill, located at 3400-3412 J Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 17, 2019.

The Frankford Junction train wreck occurred on September 6, 1943, when Pennsylvania Railroad's premier train, the Congressional Limited, crashed at Frankford Junction in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States, killing 79 people and injuring 117 others.

Philip H. Sheridan Elementary School is a historic elementary school located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia The building was built in 1899–1900, and is a three-story, five-bay, stone-and-brick building in the Colonial Revival style. Three-story wings were added 1902 and 1910. It features a stone entrance pavilion, Palladian windows, and large arched openings. The school was named for Civil War General Philip Sheridan (1831–1888). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

George L. Horn School is a historic school building located in the Harrowgate neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1902–1904, and is a three-story, five-bay, ashlar stone building in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features terra cotta and granite trim and a steeply pitched gable roof.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. For a time the school was known as the Sheridan West Academy before being closed in 2013.

Francis Hopkinson School is a historic elementary school located in the Juniata neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1926–1927. It is a three-story, eight-bay, yellow brick building on a raised basement in the Art Deco style. It features an arched entryway with terra cotta trim and pilasters, a terra cotta cornice, and brick parapet. The school is named for Francis Hopkinson. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Conwell Middle Magnet School is a historic middle school located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a magnet school in the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1925–1926. It is a three-story, nine-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Late Gothic Revival style. It features a central arched entryway with stone surround, stone two-story bay, and carved stone panels. The school was named for Temple University founder Russell Conwell. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as the Russell H. Conwell School.

Frances E. Willard School is an elementary school located in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The school is named for suffragist Frances Willard. The original school building was designed by Henry deCoursey Richards and built in 1907–1908. It is a four-story, three-bay, "E"-shaped, brick clad concrete building in the Classical Revival style. It features limestone trim, a 2+1⁄2-story overscale arched opening, and brick parapet. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.In 2010, the school moved into a new building on Elkhart Street, just north of the old building.
