Northaw Place

The Dower House is a Grade II* listed house in Cooper's Lane between Potters Bar and Northaw in Hertfordshire, England. It was built in 1749 and was formerly known as Fairlawn House.

The Chequers was a public house which occupied a Grade II listed building in Potters Bar, England. Originally opening in the 1700s, the pub moved site across the road and opened in its current location in the 1840s. Although there is no consensus as to when the current building was originally constructed, it started as two separate houses which were joined together before the pub moved onto the site. The building was made Grade II listed in 1985, but the pub shut on 30th December 2019. Before it closed it was the only pub in the British Isles to have traffic lights on site. The pub's namesake is thought to be the chequer tree.

The Green Man is a disused public house in High Street, Potters Bar, England, and a grade II listed building with Historic England. It was built in the mid 17th century, and subsequently remodelled and extended.Plans to turn the site into a 46-bed care home were repeatedly rejected by the council in 2015 and 2016. In 2019 plans were agreed to convert the building into "a children’s nursery, or maybe a gym, or maybe a religious centre" and to build flats on the rear car park site.

Oakmere House is a public house and restaurant in Potters Bar, England, and a grade II listed building with Historic England. The pub is under the management of the Harvester company. The rear of the building faces onto Oakmere Park.

Northaw is a village in the Welwyn Hatfield district of Hertfordshire, England. It is part of the civil parish of Northaw and Cuffley (where at the 2011 Census the population was included), which was originally known as Northaw. The parish had a population of 5,190 according to the 2001 census, most of whom live in Cuffley. It formed part of the Metropolitan Police District until 2000. The village has a population of around 590 people. Northaw Church of England Primary School was founded in 1879 and the trust deed, which is the school's Christian foundation, remains integral to the ethos and beliefs of the school community. The school is a Voluntary Aided School and is part of the family of the Diocese of St Albans.The parish church of Thomas à Becket is Grade II listed. Built in 1881, by C. Kirk and Son of Sleaford, replacing church of 1809. The north aisle was added in 1887, with choir and vestry added in 1893. The church has complete and original stained glass. The east window is signed Ward Hughes 1882, the west window Ward & Hughes 1887 and the three north aisle windows c. 1895 are by Heaton, Butler and Bayne.A Northaw ex-resident was former cabinet minister Cecil Parkinson.

Rhodes Wood Hospital is a specialist hospital for children and young people with eating disorders. It is based in the grade II listed former Mymwood School in Shepherds Way, Brookmans Park, in England.Rhodes Wood Hospital was acquired by Elysium Healthcare in 2016 and enjoyed a Care Quality Commission rating of Good at their first CQC inspection in 2017. At the CQC inspection in April 2019 the hospital was judged Inadequate and enforcement action was initiated as the hospital was deemed to have not been providing safe care and treatment to patients. According to the CQC report, the hospital comprises three wards: Shepherd, Cheshunt and Mymwood Place with 15, 15 and 12 beds respectively. Elysium Healthcare Ltd agreed with NHS England to stop further admissions onto Mymwood place. The space previously used for Mymwood was subsequently, in late 2020, converted for use as a new ward called Rainbow for treatment of adolescent patients with more acute needs.On the site of Rhodes Wood Hospital is Rhodes Wood Hospital School, an educational establishment that caters for patients in the hospital and takes no outside pupils. The school was awarded a Good at their last Ofsted inspection.

Potters Bar war memorial is located in St John's Churchyard in High Street, Potters Bar, England. The memorial was designed by the Arts and Crafts architect and designer C.F.A. Voysey and originally stood at the junction of Hatfield Road and The Causeway. It has been Grade II listed on the National Heritage List for England since it was moved to its present location in December 1973. Voysey's only other free standing war memorial, the Malvern Wells War Memorial, was erected in 1920 in Malvern Wells in Worcestershire.The memorial is on the site of the former St. John's Church which was replaced by St. Mary's Church, The Walk, in 1915 after St. John's became dilapidated.

Potters Bar Town Football Club is an English football club based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, England. They were formed in 1960 as Mount Grace Old Scholars, and, after dropping 'Old Scholars' from the name in 1984, changed to their present name in 1991. Their best performances in the FA Cup were in the 2006–07, 2016–17 and 2019–20 seasons when they reached the 4th (and final) Qualifying Round. They currently play in the Isthmian League Premier Division. When Potters Bar built their turnstile block, to join the Southern League in 2005, their turnstiles came from the old Wembley Stadium.

St. Mary's Church is a Church of England church in The Walk, Potters Bar, England. It is in the Diocese of St. Albans. Services are in the Catholic tradition of the Church of England. The church - designed by J. S. Alder - replaced the dilapidated St John's which was on the site now occupied by the Potters Bar war memorial. The foundation stone was laid by Princess Marie Louise of Schleswig-Holstein in June 1914 and the church opened one year later.

The White Horse, now known as The Cask and Stillage, is a public house in High Street, Potters Bar, England, and a grade II listed building with Historic England.
