Al Qassar

Al Qassar station is a station on the Red Line of Qatar's Doha Metro and serves Al Qassar and Onaiza. The station also serves the nearby Doha Exhibition Center (DEC).

The Katara Mosque (Arabic: جامع كتارا), also known as the Great Katara Mosque and the Blue Mosque, is a mosque in the Katara Cultural Village of Doha, Qatar. The mosque was designed by Zainab Fadil Oglu, a Turkish designer. It was constructed using glittering turquoise and purple external mosaic tiles.

Katara Cultural Village, also called Katara, is a cultural and commercial complex in Doha, Qatar, located on the eastern coast between West Bay and the Pearl. It was soft-opened in October 2010 during the Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

Zone 66 is a zone of the municipality of Ad Dawhah in the state of Qatar. The main districts recorded in the 2015 population census were Onaiza, Leqtaifiya, and Al Qassar. It also includes The Pearl-Qatar.

On 9 September 2025, during the Gaza war, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike in the Leqtaifiya district of Qatar's capital Doha, targeting the leadership of Hamas, housed in a Qatari government residential complex, as it met to discuss an active ceasefire proposal presented by the United States. The attack killed and injured Hamas members, Qatari security forces, and multiple civilians. The attack was Israel's first known attack in Qatar, and its first direct strike on a Gulf Cooperation Council member. According to reports, the intended targets included several senior Hamas figures: Khalil al-Hayya, Zaher Jabarin, Muhammad Ismail Darwish, and Khaled Mashal. Those targeted were involved in negotiations for a ceasefire to the Gaza war and an Israeli-Palestinian prisoner-hostage exchange. The Times of Israel reported on 11 September that early security assessments by Israel were that the strike failed to achieve its objective of striking all of the intended Hamas leaders, but said the reports had not been confirmed. The attack was widely "celebrated" by politicians inside Israel, whose government said it was in response to the Ramot Junction shooting the day before. The attack was widely condemned internationally, including by the United Nations Security Council with U.S. backing.

The Embassy of Nigeria, Doha is the Nigerian diplomatic mission in Qatar established in 2013 and currently headed by ambassador Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed.

West Bay Lagoon, also known as Leqtaifiya (Arabic: لقطيفية; also spelled as Legtaifiyah or Al Qutaifiya) is a district of Doha, the capital city of Qatar. Spanning from the Doha Corniche to West Bay Lagoon, the area has villas on one side, and low rises on the other. The district is well known for its luxurious waterfront villas, which are some of the most expensive in the country. As one of the few freehold areas in Doha, properties are available for purchase by non-Qataris.Together with Onaiza and Al Qassar, it makes up Zone 66 which has a total population of 22,024.

Al Fardan Residences, also known as the Barjeel Tower and the Wind Tower, is a 64-storey residential skyscraper in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. At 254 metres (830 feet), it is the second tallest completed building in Doha. Each of the storeys is 4.1 metres (13.5 feet), each built with 94 "SKE 50 automatic climbers", in a 3 to 4-day cycle. Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2009.

Bin Samikh is a skyscraper located in Doha, Qatar, which opened in 2014.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Arabic: وزارة الخارجية) is the ministry responsible for handling Qatar's external relations as well as its diplomatic efforts, including the maintenance of its diplomatic missions across the globe. As a perk related to its position, the Minister of Foreign Affairs gets to set the central agenda for the nation's propaganda outlet Al-Jazeera. The current minister is Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Majed Mohammed al-Ansari (Arabic: ماجد الأنصاري) is a spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry of Qatar and advisor to prime minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. He received his doctorate on social change from the University of Manchester. He played an instrumental role in the inaugural ceasefire of the Israel–Hamas war as well as its extensions and concurrent hostage and prisoner exchanges.

Qatar Motor Show is an annual international motor show held in Doha, Qatar. It is held each January at the Doha Exhibitions Centre. The debut motor show was in 2011 which had 90,000 attendees. The 2012 show grew to 120,000 visitors from around the Persian Gulf region. It features new models as well as supercars, concept cars, custom cars from style centers and automotive designers. Outdoor demonstrations of motocross and drifting are featured as well as test driving.
