Doha Port

The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) is a museum on one end of the seven-kilometer-long (4.3 mi) Corniche in Doha, Qatar. As per the architect I. M. Pei's specifications, the museum is built on an island off an artificial projecting peninsula near the traditional dhow harbor. A purpose-built park surrounds the edifice on the eastern and southern facades while two bridges connect the southern front facade of the property with the main peninsula that holds the park. The western and northern facades are marked by the harbor showcasing the Qatari seafaring past. In September 2017, Qatar Museums appointed Julia Gonnella as new director of MIA.

7 is an 80-foot (24-metre) high sculpture built by American sculptor Richard Serra and located in the Museum of Islamic Art Park, in Doha, Qatar. Unveiled in December 2011, it is the tallest public art piece in Qatar and the tallest Serra has ever conceived. It is also his first sculpture to be showcased in the Middle East. Constructed from seven steel plates arranged in a heptagonal shape, the work celebrates the scientific and spiritual significance of the number seven in Islamic culture. It rests on a man-made plaza extending 250 feet (76 metres) into Doha harbour.

Zone 18 is a zone of the municipality of Ad Dawhah in the state of Qatar. The main districts recorded in the 2015 population census were As Salatah and Al Mirqab.

Al Mirqab (Arabic: المرقاب; also referred to as Fereej Al Mirqab) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah.Together with As Salatah, it makes up Zone 18 which has 692 people in it.

The Doha Corniche (Arabic: كورنيش الدوحة) is a waterfront promenade extending for seven kilometres (4.3 mi) along Doha Bay in Qatar's capital city, Doha. Annual celebrations of national holidays such as Qatar National Day and National Sports Day are centered on the Doha Corniche. It is a popular tourist and leisure attraction within Qatar.

The Old Amiri Palace, located in Doha, Qatar, previously served as the residence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani during the early 20th century. It became defunct in 1923 when Abdullah bin Jassim shifted his seat of government to the then-abandoned Ottoman fort of Qal'at al-Askar. In 1972, it was decided that it would be converted into a museum, culminating in the Qatar National Museum.

Al Souq (Arabic: السوق, romanized: As Sūq; also spelled As Sawq) is a commercial district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Doha. It was named for its high density of souqs (markets) in the southern section of the district.Abdullah bin Jassim Street services numerous government buildings and banks in the northern end of the district, including Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, Qatar Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment. All of the district's souqs are located south of Abdullah bin Jassim Street. Its souqs include Souq Al Badi, Souq Al Faleh, Souq Al Asiery, Souq Al Dira, and Souq Al Jaber.Doha's largest souq, Souq Waqif, is located to the immediate west of the district in Al Jasrah, which is separated from Al Souq by Grand Hamad Street.

Al Rufaa (Arabic: الرفاع) is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. In the 2015 population census it was recorded as being in Zone 17 with Old Al Hitmi, which it borders to the east with the boundary being Sheraouh Street.

The Qatar Central Bank (Arabic: مصرف قطر المركزي) is the central bank of Qatar. Originally known as the Qatar Monetary Agency it was founded in 1973. Over its history the Qatar Central Bank has increasingly worked in association with other, larger central banks to achieve a stable currency for the country, most recently and notably with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Zone 17 is a zone of the municipality of Ad Dawhah in the state of Qatar. The main districts recorded in the 2015 population census were Al Rufaa and Old Al Hitmi.

As Salatah (Arabic: اسلطة; also known as Old Al Salata) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. It is primarily a commercial district and is situated near Hamad International Airport. In the 1970s, as part of a master plan for Doha prepared by Llewelyn Davies, the whole district was redeveloped in a push to modernize the cityscape. The Civil Aviation Authority and the National Museum of Qatar are located in the district.

Old Al Hitmi (Arabic: الهتمي العتيق; also known as Al-Hitmi Al-Ateeq or simply Al Hitmi) is a mixed-use district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. The name is derived from Al-Hitmi family, which is a branch of the main Al Bin Ali tribe. Together with Al Rufaa, it forms Zone 17, which has a population of 6,028.
