The battle of Katasyrtai (Kατασυρται) occurred in the fall of 917, shortly after the striking Bulgarian triumph at Achelous near the village of the same name close to the Byzantine capital Constantinople, (now Istanbul). The result was a Bulgarian victory.

The grass pitch has the dimensions 68 m × 105 m (223 ft × 344 ft), and is floodlit. It is home to İstanbulspor from 2018 on. Fatih Karagümrük S.K., which was promoted to the Süper Lig, play some of their home matches in this venue.The venue hosted the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification match of Turkey against Bulgaria on 21 October 2021.

Güngören M. Yahya Baş Stadyumu is a multi-purpose stadium in the Güngören district of Istanbul, Turkey. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of İstanbul Güngörenspor. The stadium holds 7,500 people.

Otogar is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in southwestern Bayrampaşa in the center of the Esenler Bus Terminal. Otogar was opened on 31 January 1994 as part of the M1's extension to Zeytinburnu. The station has three tracks with two island platforms and is one of only five stations in the metro system to have such a layout, the others being Yenikapı, Bostancı, Sanayi and Olimpiyat. West of Otogar the M1 splits into M1A and M1B service. M1A continues southwest on the original line to Istanbul Atatürk Airport, while the M1B branches off and heads west to Kirazlı, where connection to the M3 is available. Otogar is one of the busiest stations in Istanbul as it lies in the center of the main intercity and regional bus terminal of the city. Buses to many cities in Turkey as well as Europe depart from the Esenler terminal. Otogar station is referred to in English as Coach Station on maps and signs.

Tozkoparan Olympic Swimming Pool (Turkish: Tozkoparan Olimpik Yüzme Havuzu) is an Olympic-size swimming pool in Istanbul, Turkey. The swimming pool is situated in Cevat Açıkalın Cad., Erdemli Sok. 4, at Tozkoparan neighborhood of Güngören district in Istanbul. Owned by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, it was opened in 2012. The operator is the Turkish Swimming Federation.The swimming pool with ten lanes is 50 m (160 ft) long and 2.20 m (7.2 ft) deep. The venue has a seating capacity for 1,034 spectators.The swimming pool is part of a sports complex, which has a 500-seat capacity sports hall for basketball, volleyball and table tennis events.

Esenler Coach Terminal (Turkish: Esenler Otogarı) is the central and largest bus terminus for intercity bus service in İstanbul, Turkey. Although the terminus is located in Bayrampaşa district, it is named after Esenler district, which is closer. The multi-story terminal houses 450-500 permanent parking lots for buses and over 1,000 temporary ones. Average total traffic per day is about 15,000 buses. It also has a capacity of 600,000 passengers a day, with around 3,000 to 5,000 people employed in the terminal. Around one million passengers pass through it every day.
