Otogar (Istanbul Metro)

Esenler Coach Terminal (Turkish: Esenler Otogarı) is the central and largest bus terminus for intercity bus service in İstanbul, Turkey. Although the terminus is located in Bayrampaşa district, it is named after Esenler district, which is closer. The multi-story terminal houses 450-500 permanent parking lots for buses and over 1,000 temporary ones. Average total traffic per day is about 15,000 buses. It also has a capacity of 600,000 passengers a day, with around 3,000 to 5,000 people employed in the terminal. Around one million passengers pass through it every day.

Esenler is a district of Istanbul, Turkey, on its European side. Esenler is mainly densely packed, working class residential in the midst of its industrial neighbouring districts of Gaziosmanpaşa, Güngören and Bağcılar. The mayor is Tevfik Göksu.

The TurkuaZoo also called Sealife is a public aquarium located in Bayrampaşa in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the first public aquarium in Turkey, and is one of the largest aquariums in Europe. In addition to being a major tourist attraction for Istanbul, the aquarium is a centre for marine research and conservation.

Terazidere is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro located in southern Esenler. It was opened on 31 January 1994 as part of the Otogar-Zeytinburnu extension and is one of the five stations of this extension.

The Bayrampaşa Prison (Turkish: Bayrampaşa Cezaevi) is a former prison in the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul Province in Turkey. It was established in 1968 in an area of 120.000m².

The battle of Katasyrtai (Kατασυρται) occurred in the fall of 917, shortly after the striking Bulgarian triumph at Achelous near the village of the same name close to the Byzantine capital Constantinople, (now Istanbul). The result was a Bulgarian victory.

Kocatepe is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in central Bayrampaşa in the southern part of the neighborhoods Kocatepe. The station is on the north side of the Forum Istanbul Shopping Mall and has direct access to the mall. Kocatepe was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul as well as Turkey and is one of the six original stations of the M1 line. The station briefly served as the western terminus of the M1 between September and December 1989 until the line was extended to Esenler.

Bayrampaşa (pronounced [bajˈɾampaʃa]) is a suburban district of Istanbul, Turkey on the European side of the city. The mayor is Atila Aydıner (AKP).

Gaziosmanpaşa (pronounced [ɡaːziosˈmanpaʃa]; old name: Taşlıtarla) is a developing working class municipality (belediye) and district of Istanbul, Turkey, on its European side. With a population of 400,000 plus, it is one of the most populous districts. In 2009 Gaziosmanpaşa district was divided into three neighborhoods: Gaziosmanpaşa, the central; Sultangazi, the northern part; and Arnavutköy, the northernmost part. Esenler and Bayrampaşa are at west, Sultangazi is at north and Eyüp is at south and east of district. It was formed from parts of Eyüp and Çatalca districts in 1963.

Sağmalcılar is a rapid transit station on the M1 line of the Istanbul Metro. It is located in central Bayrampaşa, adjacent to the O-3 highway. Sağmalcılar was opened on 3 September 1989 as part of the first rapid transit line in Istanbul as well as Turkey and is one of the six original stations of the M1 line.

Davutpaşa Barracks (Turkish: Davutpaşa Kışlası) were Ottoman Army barracks built in the 1800s and located at Davutpaşa neighborhood of Esenler district on the European part of Istanbul, Turkey. The building was used later as a shelter for immigrants during the Balkan Wars and as a military hospital during World War I. Today, it serves as a campus of Yıldız Technical University after its redevelopment.

Menderes is an underground rapid transit station on the M1B line of the Istanbul Metro. It was opened on 14 June 2013 as part of the four new stations of the M1B extension to Kirazlı.
