Central District No. 1 (South Australian Legislative Council)

Adelaide is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. The 22.8 km² state seat of Adelaide currently consists of the Adelaide city centre including North Adelaide and suburbs to the inner north and inner north east: Collinswood, Fitzroy, Gilberton, Medindie, Medindie Gardens, Ovingham, Thorngate, Walkerville, most of Prospect, and part of Nailsworth. The federal division of Adelaide covers the state seat of Adelaide and additional suburbs in each direction. The electorate's name comes from the city which it encompasses, which is named after the British queen Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen.

The Division of Adelaide is an Australian electoral division in South Australia and is named for the city of Adelaide, South Australia's capital. At the 2016 federal election, the electorate covered 76 km², is centred on the Adelaide city centre and spanning from Grand Junction Road in the north to Cross Road in the south and from Portrush Road in the east to Marion and Holbrooks Road in the west, taking in suburbs including Ashford, Enfield, Goodwood, Kent Town, Keswick, Kilburn, Mansfield Park, Maylands, Northgate, Norwood, Parkside, Prospect, Rose Park, St Peters, Toorak Gardens, Torrensville, Thebarton, Unley and Walkerville.

Brougham Place Uniting Church is a church on Brougham Place, North Adelaide, South Australia. It was formerly the North Adelaide Congregational Church. Edmund Wright is attributed as the architect of the church and the foundation stone was laid on 15 May 1860. A tower was added in 1871 and a lecture hall in 1878 designed by architect Thomas Frost. The pipe organ was built in 1881 at which time it was "the largest two manual organ in the colony", and restored in 1914.James Jefferis was the first pastor, serving from its inception on 20 October 1859, when services were held in the Temperance hall in Tynte Street, North Adelaide, to 1877, then from 1895 to 1901, when he retired.The church is a landmark and looks over Brougham Gardens in the Adelaide Parklands.

St Ann's College is a co-residential college in North Adelaide, South Australia. In its early decades, the college had only female boarders. Today it houses 185 tertiary students, both sexes, in single rooms; rooms in the new buildings have ensuites and all rooms have airconditioning. Residents at St Ann's College have a diverse background with most coming from either rural Australia or overseas. Members of the College attend three universities in South Australia, University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University. St Ann's College is privately owned and run, and is not funded by government, church or university.

Melbourne Street is a street situated in the Adelaide suburb of North Adelaide, South Australia. It is the main commercial area of the second-largest of the three grids that comprise North Adelaide. It was named after William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne (after whom Melbourne is also named), who was British Prime Minister when the South Australia Foundation Act received parliamentary approval.Melbourne Street is bracketed by Brougham Place and Mann Road and runs in a north-easterly direction. It principally consists of cafes, restaurants, boutique businesses and retail shops. The street also contains many colonial-era buildings. Two of the well-known buildings on the street are The Old Lion Hotel, which was built as part of a brewery and is now a fashionable public house, and Buffalo Cottage, which was built in 1851. St Ann's College is also located nearby.

Brougham Place is a street lined with large mansions set in landscaped grounds in the Adelaide suburb of North Adelaide, South Australia. It surrounds Brougham Gardens, (Park 29 of the Adelaide Park Lands), that joins the three grids that comprise North Adelaide. It was named after Henry Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux. He was a staunch supporter of the 1832 Reform Act and the passing of this Act led to the third and successful attempt to found a colony in SA in 1834.Brougham Place starts and finishes at its intersection with LeFevre Terrace and Stanley Street and runs anti-clockwise around Brougham Gardens. Lincoln College is a Uniting Church in Australia residential college affiliated with the University of Adelaide. It was established by the Methodist Church of Australasia in 1952 and is named after Lincoln College, Oxford at which John Wesley was a fellow. Lincoln College started as a men's college and admitted women in 1973. Currently, the college has 180 residents, with about 15% international students.

The Women's and Children's Hospital is located on King William Road in North Adelaide, Australia. It is one of the major hospitals in Adelaide and is a teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University. It was created through the amalgamation of the Queen Victoria Hospital and Adelaide Children's Hospital in March 1989. The new (in name) hospital occupies the site of the former Adelaide Children's Hospital. The hospital is part of the Children, Youth and Women's Health Service along with the Child and Youth Health. The Children's and adolescents' wards cater for all paediatric specialities. The women's wards cater for antenatal, gynaecology, neonatal, and postnatal disciplines. The Women's & Children's Hospital Foundation is the primary charity for the hospital and exists to raise money and invest initiatives that support the care and future health of South Australia's women, babies and children. The hospital is part of the wider Women's and Children's Health Network, which includes the Child and Family Health Service, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Metropolitan Youth Health, Women's Health, Yarrow Place, Torrens House and Helen Mayo House. Kathleen Lumley College is a co-residential college located in Lower North Adelaide, South Australia, and affiliated with the University of Adelaide. It provides accommodation for postgraduate students from any of the institutions of higher learning in South Australia, as well as visiting academics and visitors to the State's cultural and research institutions.

The Fire Station Inn, also known as the North Adelaide Fire Station, at 82 Tynte Street, is a historic fire station building in North Adelaide, South Australia. It was built as a shop in 1866. It was renovated to serve as a fire station in 1904. As of 2018, it is used as tourist accommodation.It was listed as a State Heritage Place on the South Australian Heritage Register on 11 September 1986.

St Barnabas College is an Australian theological school in North Adelaide, South Australia. The college is affiliated with the Anglican Church of Australia and Charles Sturt University.

The Anglican Diocese of Adelaide is a diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia. It is centred in the city of Adelaide in the state of South Australia and extends along the eastern shore of the Gulf St Vincent from the town of Eudunda in the north to Aldgate in the south. The diocesan cathedral is Saint Peter's Cathedral in Adelaide. The diocese was founded in 1847 with Augustus Short as the first bishop. The incumbent Archbishop of Adelaide since 2017 has been Geoffrey Smith, who has also been the Anglican Primate of Australia since 2020.
