Penney Farms is a town in central Clay County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Jacksonville, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 821 at the 2020 census, up from 749 at the 2010 census.

Clay County is a county located in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Florida along the west bank of the St. Johns River. As of 2020, the population was 218,245 and in 2023, that number increased to 232,439, making it the third largest county in the Jacksonville metropolitan area. While most of the county is unincorporated, there are 4 municipalities with Green Cove Springs being the county seat and the unincorporated Lakeside CDP being the largest place. It is named in honor of Henry Clay, a famous American statesman, member of the United States Senate from Kentucky, and United States Secretary of State in the 19th century. Since 1990, Clay County has transformed into a largely suburban county with the third highest household median income in Florida behind neighboring St. Johns County and Santa Rosa County. This transformation has come as workers from Jacksonville, and to a smaller extent other nearby cities such as St. Augustine and Gainesville, have moved into newly built residential subdivisions. Over half of workers living in Clay County work in another county, which is the highest rate of any county in Florida. As such, the county has the third highest average commute time in the state at almost 33 minutes. With the population expected to surpass 300,000 residents by 2040, projects such as the First Coast Expressway are being constructed to alleviate chronic congestion on major roadways in the county such as Blanding Blvd and U.S. 17. Clay County is known for its rich military history with major current and former installations such as Branan Air Field, Naval Air Station Green Cove Springs, and Camp Blanding all being located in the county. The county also attracts many tourists due to its abundance of natural water features. Many notable lakes such as Kingsley Lake, Lake Asbury, Doctors Lake, Lake Geneva, and Lake Brooklyn are all located in the county. Black Creek begins at the St. Johns River just north of Green Cove Springs and runs through the central portion of the county.

The Clay County Fairgrounds, officially known as the Paul E. Reinhold Agricultural Fairgrounds, are fairgrounds located in Green Cove Springs, in Clay County, Florida, United States. Located on 28 acres (110,000 m2) first donated to the county by Paul and Klare Reinhold in 1972, the site hosts the annual Clay County Agricultural Fair, which was first held in 1987. The fairgrounds contain several indoor and outdoor venues, one of which was the intended home to the Green Cove Lions of the National Indoor Football League in 2007.

The Ronnie Van Zant Memorial Park is a public memorial park located in Lake Asbury, Clay County, Florida. The park was built in memory of Ronnie Van Zant, vocalist of Southern rock group Lynyrd Skynyrd, who died along with numerous other band members and crew in a 1977 plane crash. The park was funded by fans and family of the band, and features a number of facilities including tennis courts, fishing ponds, a disc golf course and picnic areas, among other amenities.

Lake Asbury is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Clay County, Florida, United States. The population was 8,700 at the 2010 census, which calls it Asbury Lake.

WAYR (550 kHz) is a non-profit radio station licensed to Fleming Island, Florida, and serving the Jacksonville metropolitan area. It broadcasts a Christian Talk and Teaching radio format, and is owned by Good Tidings Trust, Inc. It airs programs supplied by national Christian leaders and asks for donations on the air. Programming is also heard on 250-watt FM translator stations, W277DE at 103.3 and W285FE at 104.9 MHz. In 2021, Good Tidings Trust purchased WAOC at 1420 AM and 96.5 FM in St. Augustine and simulcasts it's programming. In addition, since 1997, Good Tidings Trust has operated another FM station, 90.7 WAYR-FM, licensed to Brunswick, Georgia, which is separately programmed with Christian contemporary music.

Clay High School is a four-year high school located in Green Cove Springs, Florida. It is a part of the Clay County School District.

The George A. Chalker House (also known as the Edenfield House) is a historic house in the Middleburg Historic District, Middleburg, Florida. Located at 2160 Wharf Street, the Edenfield House is the only historic home in the district to not be located on Main Street. Built around 1897, it was originally designed in the Folk Victorian style, but was later remodeled to fit the Colonial Revival style that was popular in the early 1900s.In 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Clark–Chalker House is a historic home in the Middleburg Historic District in Middleburg, Florida, located at 3891 Main Street. On October 5, 1988, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

The Middleburg Historic District is a U.S. historic district located near Black Creek in Middleburg, Florida. Designated as such on March 9, 1990, the District encompasses 3881 through 3895 Main Street, 2145 Wharf Street, and 2125 Palmetto Street. The Middleburg Historic District contains five historic buildings: The Clark-Chalker House (on Main Street) Frosard W. Budington House (on Main Street) Haskell-Long House (on Main Street) George Randolph Frisbee Jr. House (on Palmetto Street) Edinfield House (on Wharf Street, formerly known as Thompson Street)

The Middleburg United Methodist Church, formerly known as the Methodist Episcopal Church at Black Creek, is an historic church in Middleburg, Florida. On March 9, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
