The Battle of Kratzau occurred on 11 November 1428 between an Imperial Silesian army and the Sirotci Hussites in Kratzau, Bohemia. During the battle, the Imperial Silesian army under Hans von Polenz overpowered the Hussite troops. In November 1428, the Hussites under the leadership of Jan Královec launched a campaign from the occupied Kratzau of Friedland and Ostritz to Löbau. The city was not taken by the Hussites, and so they retreated back to Kratzau. Silesian and Lusatia troops pursued the Hussites, defeating them near Kratzau. The loss of vehicles with rations was essential for the Hussites, since supplies were intended for units besieging the Lichnice Castle.

Jasna Góra [ˈjasna ˈɡura] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bogatynia, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech and German borders. Founded during the Piast dynasty in the 1300s, it was seized by Germany prior to its return in 1945. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south of Bogatynia, 31 kilometres (19 mi) south of Zgorzelec, and 149 kilometres (93 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

The Kryštofovo Údolí astronomical clock is an astronomical clock in Kryštofovo Údolí, Czech Republic. It is built in a former electrical substation. The project started in 2006, it was inaugurated on 20 September 2008, and completed in 2011. The clock's construction was directed by Martin Chaloupka.The clock has three dials, showing the time, the zodiac, and the lunar phase. It is driven by an electric motor.As the clock chimes the hour, the twelve apostles file past two doors at the top of the clock, as on the Prague astronomical clock.

Opolno-Zdrój [ɔˈpɔlnɔ ˈzdrui̯] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bogatynia, within Zgorzelec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech and German borders.It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Bogatynia, 31 kilometres (19 mi) south of Zgorzelec, and 151 kilometres (94 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Ještěd (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjɛʃcɛt]; German: Jeschken) is the highest mountain of the Ještěd–Kozákov Ridge in the north of the Czech Republic, at 1,012 m (3,320 ft). It is the symbol of the city of Liberec. On the summit is the Ještěd Tower restaurant, hotel and television tower, designed by Karel Hubáček, accessible by road or cable car (Ještěd cable car). The mountain also has a ski resort. From the summit there are views to Germany and Poland.
