Randolph Township Schools

Randolph is a township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 26,504, an increase of 770 (+3.0%) from the 2010 census count of 25,734, which in turn reflected an increase of 887 (+3.6%) from the 24,847 counted in the 2000 census.According to the 2020 Census, Randolph was the 3rd most-populous municipality in Morris County and its 21 square miles (54 km2) land area was the eighth-largest in the county. The New Jersey State Planning Commission designates Randolph as half rural, half suburban. The community maintains a diverse population of nearly 26,000 residents.In 2013, in the Coldwell Banker edition of “Best Places to Live in New Jersey for Booming Suburbs,” Randolph was the number one ranked town in Morris County and fourth overall in the state citing "job growth, high percentage of home ownership, good schools, access to local shopping and community safety." Niche.com ranked Randolph amongst the Top 50 in its 2019 rankings of the "Best Places to Live" in New Jersey.Established in 1968, the County College of Morris is located on more than 220 acres (89 ha) in the northern part of the township along Route 10.

Randolph High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Randolph Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Randolph Township Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1973.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,429 students and 127.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1. There were 76 students (5.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 13 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

County College of Morris (CCM) is a public community college in Randolph, New Jersey. CCM offers associate degree and certificate programs as well as transfer opportunities for students looking to pursue a bachelor's degree at another institution, along with workforce development offerings.

The Youngtown Edition is a college newspaper published continually by students attending the County College of Morris since the opening of the college in Fall 1968. The newspaper is published biweekly and is distributed across the college campus. The newspaper covers campus issues, profiles students and professors, and world issues that may impact the campus. The Youngtown Edition has won four (4) Gold Crown awards, given out by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009). The Youngtown Edition has since fallen victim to oppression and intimidation due to their reporting of the actions taken by the college's administration, headed by President Dr. Tony Iacono. Reports have surfaced of Iacono intimidating student journalists, professors, and faculty for reporting the truth or speaking on their discontent with the administration's actions. Since Iacono has taken over at County College of Morris, The Youngtown Edition has not received any awards.

General Douglas MacArthur Military Academy was a military high school that was started by dissatisfied staff, faculty, and parents of Eastern Military Academy during the final years of that school's existence. It was named for General Douglas MacArthur. The school existed from 1966 to 1975 and was located in Mount Freedom, New Jersey. The school took over Lieberman's Royal House Hotel. The building was subsequently demolished. The site is vacant.

Mount Freedom Presbyterian Church is a historic Christian house of worship affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and located at the intersection of Sussex Turnpike and Church Road in the Mount Freedom section of Randolph Township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. This congregation is overseen by the Presbytery of Newton. This church was closed for a few years. It is now Faithfulness Church, a Chinese Protestant Church. The church building was built in 1868 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Randolph Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meeting house in Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The land on which the Meeting House stands was purchased by a small group of Quakers in 1758 for a burying ground, i.e. Cemetery The same year a subscription was raised to build a Meeting House on the site for religious and business meeting.

Gottesman RTW Academy (formerly Nathan Bohrer Abraham Kaufman Hebrew Academy of Morris County) is a coeducational Jewish day school located on County Route 513 in Randolph, New Jersey serving approximately 225 children in nursery school through grade eight. The school serves the Jewish community of Morris County, New Jersey, along with students from Sussex County and Warren County. As a community day school, the school accepts students from all branches of Judaism. As of 2006, GRTWA is a member of RAVSAK, a transliterated acronym from Hebrew which in English means Jewish Community Day School Network, having previously been affiliated with the Solomon Schechter Day School Association.As of the 2013-14 school year, the school had 135 students in kindergarten through eighth grade (plus 50 students in pre-K, for a total enrollment of 185) and 14.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.6:.

Morris County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Jersey, about 30 mi (48 km) west of New York City. Morris County, as of the 2000 Census, was the sixth-wealthiest county in the United States by median household income at $77,340 (second in New Jersey behind Hunterdon County at $79,888), sixth in median family income at $89,773 (third in New Jersey behind Hunterdon County at $91,050 and Somerset County at $90,605) and ranked tenth by per capita income at $36,964 (second in New Jersey behind Somerset County at $37,970).The Bureau of Economic Analysis ranked the county as having the 16th-highest per capita income of all 3,113 counties in the United States (and the second highest in New Jersey) as of 2009. The county ranked third in the New York metropolitan area in terms of median income. Morris County was recently ranked number 2 of 21 NJ counties as one of the healthiest counties in New Jersey, according to an annual report by County Health Rankings and Roadmaps.

Hedden County Park is a general purpose public park, located in Morris County, New Jersey, near the town of Dover. It has a total area of 389.42 acres (1.5759 km2) which includes six-acre Hedden Pond and a 2.8-acre easement along Jackson Brook. The park was dedicated on October 4, 1970, and is named after the Hedden family of Dover, who donated the original 40 acres (160,000 m2) section in 1963.The park features two ball fields, and other multiple-purpose fields, and a children play area. There are picnic areas, including a 140-person sheltered area with facilities. The pond offers a fishing deck. Most of the park area is accessible from several hiking trails through woods and along streams and waterfalls.

Shongum is an unincorporated community located within Randolph Township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is located near Shongum Lake. The community is located 3.0 miles (4.8 km) away from Mount Freedom, New Jersey. The first inhabitants of Shongum were the Lenni Lenape Indians who belonged to the Minsi tribe. They had six campsites and a rock shelter in the Shongum area and used the banks of the Den Brook as a pathway to a branch of the Minisink trail in Denville. The land was purchased by the Proprietors of West Jersey from the Indians in 1712. William Penn, one of the Proprietors, received 2500 acres encompassing the Shongum area as a dividend in 1715.The name Shongum is derived from Shawanguck or Shawangung, the Lenape word for "mountain".

The Bridget Smith House is a historic home that housed Irish immigrant families. It is located at 124 Randolph Avenue in Mine Hill Township, New Jersey and is part of the New Jersey Women's Heritage Trail. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 27, 1998.
