St. Mary's Church is a historic Roman Catholic parish church located at 371 South Main Street in the borough of Wharton in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The parish was founded in 1845 and serves the communities of Wharton, Dover, and Mine Hill Township. It is part of the Diocese of Paterson. The Gothic Revival stone church was designed by architect Jeremiah O'Rourke and built from 1872 to 1873. Listed as Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, it was added to the New Jersey Register of Historic Places in 1997. The church buildings and grounds were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

Randolph Friends Meetinghouse is a historic Quaker meeting house in Randolph, Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The land on which the Meeting House stands was purchased by a small group of Quakers in 1758 for a burying ground, i.e. Cemetery The same year a subscription was raised to build a Meeting House on the site for religious and business meeting.

The Wharton Borough School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through eighth grade from Wharton, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising two schools, had an enrollment of 738 students and 73.7 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.0:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "DE", the fifth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Public school students in ninth through twelfth grades attend Morris Hills High School, located in Rockaway Borough, and which also serves portions of Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,279 students and 118.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.8:1. The high school is part of the Morris Hills Regional High School District, which also includes students from Denville Township, who attend Morris Knolls High School along with students from parts of Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township.

The Baker Building, also known as Baker's Opera House, in Dover, Morris County, New Jersey, United States, is a historic theater built of brick in the mid-1880s. Built in the Eclectic style, it has three stories plus a tower. On the north side facing Blackwell Street, there are recessed brick panels, granite lintels and window sills, and a granite panel reading "Baker Building." A Mail Pouch Tobacco sign covers the south side of the building.The "Opera House" was built by William Henry Baker as a vaudeville theater. The grand opening was on April 5, 1886, with the Alfa Norman English Opera Company performing The Bobetuian Girl. On April 6 the same company performed The Mikado. Tickets cost $1.00 to $1.50. Later fare included other Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, magic shows and minstrel shows featuring Arthur Deming. In 1906 the theater was thoroughly reconstructed and started showing silent films along with vaudeville performances after it reopened on December 5, 1906.The renovation cost $75,000 and included many plaster ornaments and friezes. Movies started at 7 P.M. with five vaudeville acts started at 8 P.M. with both shows accompanied by a seven piece orchestra. After W. H. Baker died in 1910 his son Henry O. Baker took over the business closing it for another reconstruction and fireproofing in 1924. It reopened with 1,600 seats on December 22, 1924. Stanley Fabian later took over the theater, which showed its first talking picture, On Trial on March 18, 1929.Stars who have visited the theater or appeared on the stage include Al St. John, Buster Keaton, Pearl White, DeWolf Hopper, Helen Hayes, Lillian Russell, Ethel Barrymore and Abbott and Costello.The building was nearly demolished in 1977 before its purchase by the Morris County Trust for Historic Preservation. It was then listed on the New Jersey registry of historic sites and in 1981 on the National Register of Historic Places for its significance in architecture, commerce, and theater.

The Blackwell Street Historic District is a 25-acre (10 ha) historic district along Blackwell, Dickerson, Sussex, Bergen, Essex, Morris, Warren, Prospect and Dewey streets in the town of Dover in Morris County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 21, 1982, for its significance in architecture, commerce, education, performing arts, religion, and transportation. The district has 52 contributing buildings, one contributing site, and two contributing structures. Contributing buildings include the Baker Building and the Dover station, which were previously listed individually on the NRHP.

The Youngtown Edition is a college newspaper published continually by students attending the County College of Morris since the opening of the college in Fall 1968. The newspaper is published biweekly and is distributed across the college campus. The newspaper covers campus issues, profiles students and professors, and world issues that may impact the campus. The Youngtown Edition has won four (4) Gold Crown awards, given out by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (2004, 2006, 2007, 2009). The Youngtown Edition has since fallen victim to oppression and intimidation due to their reporting of the actions taken by the college's administration, headed by President Dr. Tony Iacono. Reports have surfaced of Iacono intimidating student journalists, professors, and faculty for reporting the truth or speaking on their discontent with the administration's actions. Since Iacono has taken over at County College of Morris, The Youngtown Edition has not received any awards.

Dover is a town in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Located on the Rockaway River, Dover is about 31 miles (50 km) west of New York City and about 23 miles (37 km) west of Newark, New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the town's population was 18,460, an increase of 303 (+1.7%) from the 2010 census count of 18,157, which in turn reflected a decline of 31 (−0.2%) from the 18,188 counted in the 2000 census.Dover is a majority minority community, with nearly 70% of the population as of the 2010 census identifying themselves as Hispanic, up from 25% in 1980.

Wharton is a borough in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 7,241, an increase of 719 (+11.0%) from the 2010 census count of 6,522, which in turn reflected an increase of 224 (+3.6%) from the 6,298 counted in the 2000 census.Wharton was originally incorporated as the borough Port Oram by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on June 26, 1895, created from portions of Randolph Township and Rockaway Township, subject to the results of a referendum passed on the previous day; the name was changed to Wharton on April 16, 1902, based on a referendum held that day and subject to legislation passed on March 27, 1902. The borough was named for Joseph Wharton of the Wharton Steel Company.

County College of Morris (CCM) is a public community college in Randolph, New Jersey. CCM offers associate degree and certificate programs as well as transfer opportunities for students looking to pursue a bachelor's degree at another institution, along with workforce development offerings.

Dover is an active commuter railroad train station in the borough of Dover, Morris County, New Jersey. Located at the end of electric service, Dover station serves as a secondary terminal of NJ Transit's Morristown and Montclair-Boonton Lines. Non-electric service continues west to Hackettstown on both lines. The next station to the west is Mount Arlington while the next station to the east is Denville. Dover station consists of a single island platform, accessible for the handicapped. The first train in Dover arrived on July 31, 1848, with the extension of the Morris and Essex Railroad from Rockaway, which opened just 27 days prior. The Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad constructed the current station depot on Dickerson Street in 1901, opening on November 1. The station depot joined the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Bridget Smith House is a historic home that housed Irish immigrant families. It is located at 124 Randolph Avenue in Mine Hill Township, New Jersey and is part of the New Jersey Women's Heritage Trail. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 27, 1998.

Dover High School is a four-year public high school located in Dover in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades and operating as the lone secondary school of the Dover School District. The high school serves students from Victory Gardens, which has been consolidated into the Dover School District since 2010. Students from Mine Hill Township attend the high school as part of a sending/receiving relationship.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,094 students and 79.2 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.8:1.
