The Denville Township School District is a comprehensive public school district serving students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Denville Township, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States in two elementary schools and a middle school.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising three schools, had an enrollment of 1,629 students and 152.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.7:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend Morris Knolls High School, which is located in Denville, but has a Rockaway address, along with most students from Rockaway Township. The high school is part of the Morris Hills Regional High School District, which also serves the residential communities of Rockaway Borough and Wharton. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 1,434 students and 128.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1.

WDHA-FM (105.5 MHz) is a commercial radio station licensed to Dover, New Jersey, and serving the Morris County area of North Jersey. WDHA is owned and operated by Beasley Broadcast Group and airs a mainstream rock radio format. The station's studios and offices are at 55 Horsehill Road in Cedar Knolls. The transmitter is off Casterline Road in Denville.

Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital (also known as Greystone Psychiatric Park, Greystone Psychiatric Hospital, or simply Greystone and formerly known as the State Asylum for the Insane at Morristown, New Jersey State Hospital, Morris Plains, and Morris Plains State Hospital) referred to both the former psychiatric hospital and the historic building that it occupied in Morris Plains, New Jersey. Built in 1876, the facility was built to alleviate overcrowding at the state's only other "lunatic asylum" located in Trenton, New Jersey. Originally built to accommodate 350 people, the facility, having been expanded several times, reached a high of over 7700 patients resulting in unprecedented overcrowding conditions. In 2008, the facility was ordered to be closed as a result of deteriorating conditions and overcrowding. A new facility was built on the large Greystone campus nearby and bears the same name as the aging facility. Despite considerable public opposition and media attention, demolition of the main Kirkbride building began in April 2015 and was completed by October 2015.

Randolph High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school in Randolph Township, in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, serving students in ninth through twelfth grades as the lone secondary school of the Randolph Township Schools. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1973.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,429 students and 127.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.2:1. There were 76 students (5.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 13 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The county ranked third in the New York metropolitan area in terms of median income. Morris County was recently ranked number 2 of 21 NJ counties as one of the healthiest counties in New Jersey, according to an annual report by County Health Rankings and Roadmaps.

Victory Gardens is a borough in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 1,582, an increase of 62 (+4.1%) from the 2010 census count of 1,520, which in turn reflected a decline of 26 (−1.7%) from the 1,546 counted in the 2000 census.Victory Gardens is Morris County's smallest municipality, measured both by size and population, and its most densely populated. Additionally, the borough is the state's fourth-smallest municipality by area.

The original boundaries of the province were slightly larger than the current state, extending into a part of the present state of New York, until the border was finalized in 1773.

The Washington Valley Schoolhouse, also known as the Little Red Schoolhouse, is located at the intersection of Washington Valley Road and Schoolhouse Lane in the Washington Valley section of Morris Township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The schoolhouse was built in 1869 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 15, 1973, for its significance in education. It was designated a contributing property of the Washington Valley Historic District on November 12, 1992.

Washington Valley is an unincorporated community in the Whippany River valley within Morris Township in Morris County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.Washington Valley is popularly known for farmsteads of the late 18th and early 19th century, but their appearance and survival is the legacy of wealthy estate builders who acquired properties and moved there at the end of the 19th century.

The John Smith House is a historic building located at 124 Washington Valley Road in the Washington Valley section of Morris Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The two-story brick house was built in 1812, with the year set in black brick on the west gable. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 1, 1976, for its significance in agriculture and architecture. It is also a contributing property of the Washington Valley Historic District.

Watnong Mountain is a mountain in Morris County, New Jersey. The major peak rises to 965 feet (294 m). It is located in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township and overlooks Morris Plains to the east. It is part of the New York–New Jersey Highlands of the Reading Prong.
