Grünhain-Beierfeld

Spiegelwald is a mountain of Saxony, southeastern Germany.

Grünhain Abbey (German: Kloster Grünhain) in Grünhain in the Saxon Ore Mountains, which was built and run by Cistercians, existed from 1230 to 1536. Today only its ruins remain.

Schwarzenberg is a town in the district of Erzgebirgskreis in Saxony’s Ore Mountains, near the German–Czech border. The town lies roughly 15 km southeast of Aue, and 35 km southwest of Chemnitz. Founded in the 12th century to protect a trade road, the small mountain town became the centre of a territory known as Herrschaft Schwarzenberg and later Amt Schwarzenberg. During the division of Germany, Schwarzenberg was part of East Germany and became the greatest producer of washing machines in Eastern Europe. Schwarzenberg became more widely known in 1987, when Stefan Heym coined the term Free Republic of Schwarzenberg for a small gap between the Soviet and American occupation zones in May/June 1945.

Bernsbach is a village and a former municipality in the district of Erzgebirgskreis in Saxony in Germany that together with its constituent community of Oberpfannenstiel has roughly 4,700 inhabitants. Since 1 January 2013, it is part of the town Lauter-Bernsbach.

Schatzenstein is a mountain of Saxony, southeastern Germany. It is located northwest of Elterlein at the municipal boundary to Zwönitz and Grünhain-Beierfeld on a local watershed which divides the drainage basins of Zwönitz river and Schwarzwasser. Several phyllite cliffs of up to 10 m height are exposed in the vicinity of the mountain. A marker of the Royal Saxon triangulation campaign of 1862 to 1890 stands on the summit of Schatzenstein. Beneath it, a commemorative plaque for the forester and poet Max Schreyer is mounted to the rock.
