Aquarama Kristiansand

Bystranda (The City Beach) is a Blue Flag beach in the southeastern part of the downtown of the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It is located just east of the mouth of the river Otra. The shallow sandy beach by the Kristiansand Boardwalk consists of fine filled sand. By Bystranda there are seating areas, bathrobes stairs, sand volleyball court, skate ramp, playground, and restrooms. At the plant of the bathing beach was emphasized that it should be accessible to children and the disabled. Bystranda is popular on hot summer days. Close to Bystranda is the indoor water park Aquarama.

Kristiansand Naval Air Station (Norwegian: Marinens flystasjon Kristiansand) was a water military air base operated by the Royal Norwegian Navy Air Service between 1919 and 1940. Situated at Tangen in the city center of Kristiansand, Norway, it consisted of three hangars. The station was to house both reconnaissance and fighter aircraft.

The main quarter for NRK Southern Norway is located at Tangen.

Kvadraturen Upper Secondary , Kvadraturen videregående skole, former Kvadraturen skolesenter, is a public high school in Kristiansand, Norway. It is one of the largest high school in Southern Norway. It first opened as a Sunday school in 1812. The school has two blocks on 4 and 5 floors with a skywalk between both. On the bottom floor of the old building is where the cafeteria and the library is located, while the new building is mostly classrooms and offices. The lines at the school is studies, electricians and technology servicing, health and youth development, specialization and supplementary general admission and alternative learning.

Kjøita or Kjøita Park is a neighbourhood in the city of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It's located along the eastern shore of the Otra river in the borough of Lund. The neighborhood of Oddemarka lies to the east, Gimle lies to the north, and the centre of Lund lies to the southeast. Kjøita Park is an industrial park.

Lund is a borough and district in the city of Kristiansand which lies in the municipality of Kristiansand in Agder county, Norway. It is the second largest borough in the city after Vågsbygd. In 2015, the population was about 30,000. Lund is divided into 4 districts: Lund (centrum), Gimlekollen, Justvik, and Ålefjær. Lund lies to the north and west of Topdalsfjorden-Ålefjærfjorden and to the East of the river Otra. The borough of Oddernes lies to the east and the boroughs of Kvadraturen and Grim lie to the west. North of the borough is the municipality of Vennesla. The University of Agder is located at Lund along with Kristiansand Cathedral School. The Church of Norway has three churches in Lund: Lund Church, Justvik Church, and Oddernes Church. Oddernes Church was one of the first churches to be built in Kristiansand. There are three bridges connecting Lund to the city center Kvadraturen: "Lundsbroa", "Oddernesbrua" and "Christian Quartbroa". Before Oddernesbrua was built, the Lundsbroa was the main way to the east. Today, the Oddernesbrua is a part of the European route E18 highway, and the bridge ends in a tunnel. The Lundsbroa is a part of Fylkesvei 471, which eventually joins up with the E18. The recently opened Christian Quartbroa footbridge is located between the other two bridge connections. Public transportation is available by bus, all local buses headed eastbound have more than one stop at Lund. There are also buses that go "deeper" into Lund. Line 13 Grimsmyra-Lund goes to Kuholmen in Lund, a place south of Lund, while Line 19 Suldalen-Lund UiA, follows Riksvei 471 to the University.

Posebyen is a neighbourhood in the city of Kristiansand in Vest-Agder county, Norway. Posebyen is located in the downtown borough of Kvadraturen, along the western shore of the river Otra. It consists mostly of large, white, wooden houses, many of which were left intact after the big city fire in 1892. Therefore, it forms the largest continuous collection of old wooden houses in any city in Northern Europe.The Kvadraturen skolesenter high school and the Tordenskjoldsgate elementary school are both located in the neighbourhood. The streets Tollbodgata, Rådhusgata, Gyldenløves gate, Skippergata, Henrik Wergelands gate, Kristian IVs gate, and Tordenskjolds gate are the streets that cross Posebyen west and east, while the streets Festningsgata, Holbergs gate, Kronprinsens gate and Elvegata cross from north to south. Posebyen is located north of Tangen, east of Gyldengården, and northeast of Nybyen.

This court is based at three different courthouses which are located in Farsund, Kristiansand, and Arendal. The court serves most of Agder county and includes cases from 24 municipalities. The courthouse in Farsund accepts cases from the municipalities of Farsund, Flekkefjord, Hægebostad, Kvinesdal, and Lyngdal. The courthouse in Kristiansand accepts cases from the municipalities of Birkenes, Bygland, Bykle, Evje og Hornnes, Iveland, Kristiansand, Lillesand, Lindesnes, Valle, Vennesla, and Åseral. The courthouse in Arendal accepts cases from the municipalities of Arendal, Froland, Gjerstad, Grimstad, Risør, Tvedestrand, Vegårshei, and Åmli. The court is subordinate to the Agder Court of Appeal.The court is led by a chief judge (sorenskriver) and several other judges. The court is a court of first instance. Its judicial duties are mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy. The administration and registration tasks of the court include death registration, issuing certain certificates, performing duties of a notary public, and officiating civil wedding ceremonies. Cases from this court are heard by a combination of professional judges and lay judges.

It had jurisdiction over the southern part of the county which included the municipalities of Kristiansand, Bykle, Valle, Bygland, Evje og Hornnes, Iveland, Vennesla, Birkenes, Lillesand, Lindesnes, and Åseral. Cases from this court could be appealed to Agder Court of Appeal. This court employed a chief judge, 11 other judges, 4 assistant judges, and 23 prosecutors.The court was a court of first instance. Its judicial duties were mainly to settle criminal cases and to resolve civil litigation as well as bankruptcy. The administration and registration tasks of the court included death registration, issuing certain certificates, performing duties of a notary public, and officiating civil wedding ceremonies. Cases from this court were heard by a combination of professional judges and lay judges.

Kristiansand Boardwalk (Norwegian: Strandpromenaden) is a street in the town centre Kvadraturen in Kristiansand, Norway. The street is in most of its course closed to the passage of motor vehicles, but operates in the tourist season in connection with sightseeing. From where the street Strandpromenaden ends in the eastern corner of the town centre, there is a continuing boardwalk upwards the river Otra. The boardwalk got the Nordic Green Space Award in 2013.
