Wilkes University

Weiss Hall, also known as the Judge Edmund Taylor House, is an historic, American dormitory that is located on the campus of Wilkes University at Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Catlin Hall, also known as George Catlin Hall and Reynolds House, is a historic dormitory located on the campus of Wilkes University at Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1843, and is a 2 1/2-story, rectangular brick building in the Greek Revival style. It has a two-story rear wing. It was built as the Reynolds family residence and used as such into the 1950s, after which it was sold to Wilkes College in 1957. It was used as the women's residence hall and named for Wilkes-Barre native, painter George Catlin.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

West End Wheelmen's Club, also known as the Franklin Club and Knights of Columbus, is a historic clubhouse located at Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1897, and is a three-story, rectangular frame Shingle Style building. It features a wraparound porch and porte cochere. The rear of the building was rebuilt after a fire in 1913.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Luzerne County Historical Society is one of the oldest continually operating local historical societies in America. It was founded on February 11, 1858, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the first successful burning of anthracite coal by Jesse Fell, and was originally named the Wyoming Historical and Geological Society. The organization operates the historic Swetland Homestead in Wyoming, Pennsylvania and the Luzerne County Museum which also features a separate research library in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It also administers the Nathan Denison house.

Holy Redeemer High School is a high school of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Scranton. It is located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States. It is currently the only Catholic high school in Luzerne County.

St. Stephen's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral is an Episcopal church located in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It is the Pro-Cathedral in the Diocese of Bethlehem. The Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania serves as the primary cathedral of the diocese. St. Stephen's Church began in 1817. The present church building is the fifth one for the parish. It was completed in 1897 and consecrated in 1899. Philadelphia architect Charles M. Burns designed the church in the Romanesque Revival style.

McClintock Hall, also known as McClintock House, is an historic, American dormitory that is located on the campus of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The Market Street Bridge is a distinguished concrete arch bridge that crosses the Susquehanna River between Kingston and Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Hotel Sterling was a hotel in downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, at the intersection of River Street and Market Street. It was opened in 1898 by local businesspeople, who then owned a music hall located at the site, and was named after Emma E. Sterling, whose late husband, Walter G. Sterling, a local banker and businessman, owned a share of the music hall. Emma was a driving force behind the building of the hotel. The hotel was later expanded by Andrew Sordoni by connecting it to the Plaza Hotel in 1936. After lying abandoned for years, the non-profit organization CityVest purchased the hotel and demolished the 14-story Plaza tower portion and four-story connecting building in 2007 in an attempt to make the property more marketable to developers. Demolition of the original 1897-built building began on July 25, 2013 and finished on July 30, 2013.
