Smallburgh Fen

Smallburgh is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is fourteen miles (21 km) south-east of Cromer, fourteen miles (21 km) north-east of Norwich and 132 miles (212 km) north-east of London. The village lies five miles (8 km) south-east of the nearby town of North Walsham. The nearest railway station is at Worstead for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. At the 2001 census it had a population of 518 in 219 households. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk.

Broad Fen, Dilham is a 38.4-hectare (95-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Norwich in Norfolk. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area and The Broads Special Area of Conservation.This site's diverse habitats include fen, carr woodland, open water and fen meadows. The open water includes ponds which were dug to attract wildfowl, a stretch of the Dilham Canal and dykes. Aquatic plants include bladderwort and white water lily.

Honing is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 15 miles (24 km) north-northeast of Norwich, 13 miles (21 km) south east of Cromer and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of North Walsham. The nearest railway station is Worstead on the Bittern Line which runs between Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The parish of Honing, which includes Crostwight, had in the 2001 census, a population of 319, but this fell to 312 at the 2011 Census. The village is part of the district of North Norfolk.

Honing railway station was a station in Norfolk, England, serving the small village of Honing. It was on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway between Melton Constable and Great Yarmouth. It closed along with the rest of the line in 1959. Today, the two platforms and remains of the waiting room and its cellar, complete with two fireplaces survive, along with remains of the station building foundations, the signal box, and a hand water pump inside a small shed. Alongside the waiting room side platform is lattice fencing typical of M&GN stations. The station site is currently being worked on by the Norfolk Railway Heritage Group in conjunction with the Norfolk County Council to expose and preserve the remains. On 29 June 2019 the formation between the platforms was temporarily relaid, and 7¼" gauge passenger services were operated by the Barton House Railway.

Wayford Bridge is a village on the River Ant on the A149 road, near Stalham in Norfolk, England within The Broads National Park. Due to height restrictions under the road bridge it is the most northerly point of navigation on the Norfolk Broads for boats over 7 feet 6 inches (2.29 m) in height above the water line. Broads boats can continue to Dilham, though the channel is narrow and has limited places in which to turn around.

Neatishead ( NEET-stəd) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is situated some 20 km (12 mi) north-east of the city of Norwich, within The Norfolk Broads and to the west of Barton Broad. Access to Neatishead from the broad is by way of Limekiln Dyke, a narrow channel leading off the broad. The village's name origin is uncertain 'Vassal's household' or perhaps, 'Snaet's household'. The civil parish has an area of 7.71 km2 (2.98 sq mi) and in the 2001 census had a population of 537 in 235 households, the population increasing to 565 at the 2011 census. For local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk. It is well known due to the nearby RAF Neatishead radar station.

East Ruston Common is a 34.5-hectare (85-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-east of North Walsham om Norfolk.This is an area of unimproved fen, heath and carr woodland in the valley of a tributary of the River Ant. it is the only known English locality for the rare spider, acanthophyma gowerensis, and it also has another nationally rare spider, hygrolycosa rubrofasciata.There is public access to the common.
