Mall St. Vincent is an enclosed shopping mall located off Interstate 49 at 1133 St. Vincent Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana. It opened in February 1977 on the 100-acre site of the original St. Vincent's Academy, a Catholic girls' school built by the Daughters of the Cross, from which it gets its name. The mall's main anchor store is Dillard's. The Sears anchor store closed in 2018.In 2014, the city government voted for a tax-payer funded proposal of $16.5 million US into Mall St Vincent, but the long-term fate of the retail mall remains in doubt. An outdoor fountain included in the remodeling project was by 2017 crumbling and without water, with plants surrounding the structure having died. In 2017, Grimaldi's Pizzeria and Gymboree closed their Mall St. Vincent operations; a local news article noted that online shopping and changing consumer habits have affected shopping malls; with as many as one in four closing within the next five years. On June 6, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing in September 2018. After declaring bankruptcy, New York & Co. closed all stores including its Mall St. Vincent storefront in 2020, while Auntie Anne's closed its doors in 2021.

C. E. Byrd, a Blue Ribbon School, is a high school in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. In continuous operation since its establishment in 1925, C. E. Byrd is also the eighth-largest high school in the United States of America as of February 2019. Byrd students come from its neighborhood or throughout the entire school district through its selective math/science magnet program.

Kings Highway Christian Church is a historic Disciples of Christ church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kings Highway Christian Church was established on May 20, 1923. Kings Highway Christian Church is also nearby C.E. Byrd High School. The Renaissance/Romanesque/Byzantine style building was constructed in 1925 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Huey P. Long House on Forest Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana was built in 1926. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1991.It is a two-story Spanish Colonial Revival-style house made with stucco over hollow tile. It is significant for its association with politician Huey P. Long, who with his family moved into the house in 1926. He moved to Baton Rouge in 1928 when he became governor of the state, but the house remained in the family until the 1970s. It is the only house which Long had constructed for himself and in which he took much personal interest.

St. Mark's Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Western Louisiana. The first services of the Episcopal church in Shreveport were celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Leonidas Polk, the Bishop of Louisiana in March 1839. That liturgy is considered the founding day of St. Mark's Church. The parish church was located on the corner of Cotton Street and Texas Avenue since 1905. It is now the Church of the Holy Cross. Prior to that building, the church was located on Fannin Street. The present church at Fairfield Avenue and Rutherford Street was completed in 1954. It became the diocesan cathedral on July 7, 1990.

KSCL (91.3 FM) is the student-run college radio station broadcasting from the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day to Shreveport, Bossier City, and other surrounding communities. It airs a college radio format featuring alternative music from studios in the Student Union Building on campus. KSCL went on the air in March 1976 after two and a half years of construction. The low-wattage station received power increases in 1981 and 2006. In May 2023, Centenary filed to sell the station to Louisiana State University Shreveport, owner of the regional Red River Radio public radio service.

The Meadows Museum of Art at Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport is charged with the collection, conservation, preservation and interpretation of visual art works of museum quality. It is also a vital resource for students studying art history, studio art, and museum management, who frequently serve as interns, docents, and guest curators. The Meadows Museum of Art is the second art museum resulting from the philanthropy of oilman Algur H. Meadows. The first is the Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University.

The Gold Dome is a 3,000-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was built in 1970. It is home to the Centenary Gentlemen basketball team, Centenary Ladies basketball team, volleyball team and gymnastics team.

Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport (LSU Health Shreveport) is a public university focused on the health sciences and located in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Masonic Temple in Shreveport, Louisiana is a historic building located at 1805 Creswell Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana. Built in 1937 in Moderne style, it is a two-story brick building designed by architect Theodore Flaxman, who indicated that he was strongly influenced by the curvilinear buildings of European modernist Erich Mendelsohn.The building was a contributing property of Highland Historic District since its creation in 1987, and was subsequently enlisted as an individual property on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
