Mall St. Vincent is an enclosed shopping mall located off Interstate 49 at 1133 St. Vincent Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana. It opened in February 1977 on the 100-acre site of the original St. Vincent's Academy, a Catholic girls' school built by the Daughters of the Cross, from which it gets its name. The mall's main anchor store is Dillard's. The Sears anchor store closed in 2018.In 2014, the city government voted for a tax-payer funded proposal of $16.5 million US into Mall St Vincent, but the long-term fate of the retail mall remains in doubt. An outdoor fountain included in the remodeling project was by 2017 crumbling and without water, with plants surrounding the structure having died. In 2017, Grimaldi's Pizzeria and Gymboree closed their Mall St. Vincent operations; a local news article noted that online shopping and changing consumer habits have affected shopping malls; with as many as one in four closing within the next five years. On June 6, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing in September 2018. After declaring bankruptcy, New York & Co. closed all stores including its Mall St. Vincent storefront in 2020, while Auntie Anne's closed its doors in 2021.

KMJJ-FM (99.7 MHz, "99.7 KMJJ") is an American radio station with an urban contemporary format broadcasting in the Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and is headquartered at the Louisiana Boardwalk shopping center in Bossier City, Louisiana. The station's transmitter is southwest of the I-20/I-49 interchange in Shreveport, on a landmark non-supported structure nicknamed Eiffel Tower. It is co-located with KVMA-FM and KQHN-FM with the KRMD-FM auxiliary transmitter.

KVMA-FM (102.9 MHz, "Magic 102.9") is an urban adult contemporary formatted radio station licensed to Shreveport, Louisiana, United States, and serving the Shreveport-Bossier City Metropolitan Area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and based at the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City. KVMA-FM was purchased in 2004 from Magnolia, Arkansas and relocated to the Shreveport Market on 107.9 MHz with Cumulus Broadcasting. In 2005, a short discussion between the FCC, Barksdale Air Force Base and Cumulus Broadcasting over the interference of 107.9 and the B52 Aircraft, the FCC shut down the 107.9 frequency forever in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Cumulus Broadcasting shutdown KVMA-FM and relocated its format to 102.9 one evening and temporarily shutdown KBED-FM (Mix 102.9 FM). KVMA-FM picked up the syndication rights to the Dede In The Morning It is also the home of The D.L. Hughley Show in the afternoons, and The Sweat Hotel at nights. KBED-FM is now KQHN-FM and was relicensed to 97.3 and serves the Ark-La-Tex area. KVMA-FM transmitter facilities are located near Downtown Shreveport on a Landmark non supported structure nicknamed Eiffel Tower. It is co-located with KMJJ-FM and KQHN-FM with the KRMD-FM auxiliary transmitter.

St. Mark's Cathedral is an Episcopal cathedral in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. It is the seat of the Diocese of Western Louisiana. The first services of the Episcopal church in Shreveport were celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Leonidas Polk, the Bishop of Louisiana in March 1839. That liturgy is considered the founding day of St. Mark's Church. The parish church was located on the corner of Cotton Street and Texas Avenue since 1905. It is now the Church of the Holy Cross. Prior to that building, the church was located on Fannin Street. The present church at Fairfield Avenue and Rutherford Street was completed in 1954. It became the diocesan cathedral on July 7, 1990.

KQHN (97.3 FM, "Q97.3") is a hot adult contemporary radio station licensed to Waskom, Texas, and serves the greater Shreveport, Louisiana area. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and broadcasts from the Louisiana Boardwalk shopping center in Bossier City, Louisiana, along with sister stations KRMD, KRMD-FM, KMJJ, and KVMA-FM. The station was assigned the KQHN call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on April 7, 2005.

Kings Highway Christian Church is a historic Disciples of Christ church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Kings Highway Christian Church was established on May 20, 1923. Kings Highway Christian Church is also nearby C.E. Byrd High School. The Renaissance/Romanesque/Byzantine style building was constructed in 1925 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

C. E. Byrd, a Blue Ribbon School, is a high school in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. In continuous operation since its establishment in 1925, C. E. Byrd is also the eighth-largest high school in the United States of America as of February 2019. Byrd students come from its neighborhood or throughout the entire school district through its selective math/science magnet program.

The Shreveport Fire Station #8, at 3406 Velva St. in Shreveport, Louisiana, was built in 1925. Also known as the Velva Street Station, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.It is a two-story stuccoed Spanish Colonial Revival-style building, and has a red tile roof. It was designed by architect Clarence W. King.The land was given to local Willis Knighton hospital as part of a land swap, and is no longer used to store active firefighting equipment.

The Cathedral of Saint John Berchmans is the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shreveport, in Shreveport, Louisiana, United States. It is one of only eight parish churches in the world dedicated to the Jesuit Saint John Berchmans. In 2016, the cathedral acquired relics of the heart of St. John Berchmans from the Jesuit order in Belgium, displayed in a reliquary near the main altar.

Huey P. Long House was a historic house located at 2403 Laurel Street in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was built in c.1905. and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.The house was destroyed by fire in September 1992, and was delisted on May 2, 2016.

Loyola College Prep is a private Catholic coeducational high school in Shreveport, Louisiana, founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), but now operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shreveport. It is among the oldest functioning former Jesuit high schools in the United States.

Fair Grounds Field was a baseball stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana, located next to Independence Stadium on the Louisiana State Fair Grounds just off Interstate 20. Fair Grounds Field opened in 1986 and underwent renovations in 1999, 2009, and 2011. The stadium has a seating capacity of 4,200 people. Fair Grounds Field currently does not have a primary tenant. In the past it has most notably served as the home field of the Shreveport Captains, Shreveport Swamp Dragons, Shreveport-Bossier Sports, and Shreveport-Bossier Captains minor league and independent baseball teams. Fair Grounds Field hosted the 1986 and 1995 Texas League All-Star Games; 1995 Double-A All-Star Game; 1995, 1996, and 1998 Southland Conference baseball tournament; 2004 Summit League baseball tournament; and 2011 Southwestern Athletic Conference baseball tournament. Fair Grounds Field has hosted many college baseball teams including LSU, Louisiana Tech, Northwestern State, Centenary, and LSU–Shreveport. The facility has also been used by local high school baseball teams. In 2019, there was a $1 million bond issue, however local voters didn't support it, and as of late, there are no plans from the city of Shreveport on what the future of the property will look like. A YouTube video of the current state of the property, uploaded by Chavez Gipson on January 21, 2020, shows that feral cats have made their home, but rumors suggest that bats have also made their home in the stadium.The bats have been professionally removed. The City of Shreveport will be demolishing the baseball stadium. Their plans are to expand the parking lot.
