Plymouth Rock

Pilgrim Memorial State Park comprises two monuments — Plymouth Rock and the National Monument to the Forefathers — in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Closely related to these memorials is the Myles Standish Monument State Reservation which can be seen across the Plymouth Bay in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Owned by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, these sites are managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Massasoit is a statue by the American sculptor Cyrus Edwin Dallin in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was completed in 1921 to mark the three hundredth anniversary of the Pilgrims' landing. The sculpture is meant to represent the Pokanoket leader Massasoit welcoming the Pilgrims on the occasion of the first Thanksgiving. Several replicas of the statue exist across the United States, including numerous small-scale souvenir reproductions.Amidst the George Floyd protests, the statue has garnered controversy for some people's interpretation of it representing colonialism.

Samuel Lucius–Thomas Howland House (also known as the Samuel Lucas–Thomas Howland House) is a historic house at 36 North Street in Plymouth, Massachusetts located within the Plymouth Village Historic District, as a contributing property. The house is located adjacent to Cole's Hill from which it is separated by North Street. The earliest part of the house is estimated to be constructed circa 1637–1640, which would make it one of the oldest houses in Massachusetts if accurate. In 1697 Thomas Howland transferred the property to Samuel Lucas. The Jackson and Russell families occupied the property in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries until 1939. As of 2019, the house remains a private residence.

Cole's Hill is a National Historic Landmark containing the first cemetery used by the Mayflower Pilgrims in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620. The hill is located on Carver Street near the foot of Leyden Street and across the street from Plymouth Rock. Owned since 1820 by the preservationist Pilgrim Society, it is now a public park.

The Mayflower House Museum is an 18th-century period historic house museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts operated by The Mayflower Society, also known as the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. The Society purchased the Edward Winslow House in 1941. The mansion home was originally built in 1754 by Edward Winslow, a loyalist who escaped to Halifax, Nova Scotia. He died shortly after and was buried in the Old Burying Ground (Halifax, Nova Scotia). (His son Edward Winslow made a significant contribution to the establishment of the loyalist colony of New Brunswick.) Winslow was the great-grandson of Edward Winslow, third Governor of Plymouth Colony. The mansion contains 18th century period decorations and furnishings.On September 14, 1835, Ralph Waldo Emerson married his second wife, Lidian Jackson Emerson in the parlor of The Edward Winslow House.The offices and library of the Society are located behind the mansion.

Town Brook is a 1.5-mile (2.4 km) stream in Plymouth, Massachusetts that provided drinking water to the Pilgrims who made their homes adjacent to the brook on Leyden Street in Plymouth. Town Brook's headwaters are the Billington Sea, a 269-acre (109 ha) freshwater pond. The brook passes through numerous small ponds, including Deep Water Pond and Jenny Pond. It also passes by the Plimoth Grist Mill and the Brewster Gardens before emptying into Plymouth Harbor. A nature trail runs along the entire length of the brook.

The Plymouth Village Historic District is a historic district encompassing part of the area of earliest settlement of the Plymouth Colony in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It includes properties in an area roughly bounded on the west by North Street, on the north by Water Street on the east by Town Brook, and on the south by Court Street and Main Street. The area includes Leyden Street and streets that were laid out as early as 1633, and nearby are some of Plymouth's oldest surviving houses (Richard Sparrow House (1640), Harlow Old Fort House (1677), Samuel Lucius-Thomas Howland House (1640) and Jabez Howland House (1667)). The site is near Plymouth Rock where the Pilgrims landed in 1620 and the Pilgrim Hall Museum containing many of their surviving artifacts. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Leyden Street is a street in Plymouth, Massachusetts that was created in 1620 by the Pilgrims, and claims to be the oldest continuously inhabited street in the Thirteen Colonies of British America. It was originally named First Street; afterward in the Records it was called Great and Broad Street. It was named Leyden Street in 1823, but it is also known as Leiden Street or The Street.

Brewster Gardens (or the Elder Brewster Gardens) is a park located in the center of Plymouth, Massachusetts. The park runs along both sides of Town Brook from the nature trail at the headwaters of the brook, past Jenney Grist Mill, underneath the Market Street and Main Street Extension (Route 3A) bridges to Water Street, across the street from the mouth of the brook, south of Plymouth Rock. Created in the early 1920s, the park covers the original garden plot that was granted to Elder William Brewster in 1620. Located in the park are a bronze statue, The Pilgrim Maiden by Henry Hudson Kitson (1922) and a stainless steel sculpture honoring Plymouth's immigrant settlers from 1700 to 2000.

The Plymouth Post Office Building is a historic former post office building in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The building was designed by Oscar Wenderoth and built in 1914-15 by the Hanold-O'Brien Company for the federal government. The two story brick Colonial Revival building, in addition to housing the main post office branch for the town, also housed other federal government offices on the upper floor. In the 1960s the building was relegated to a branch post office. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. Formerly owned by Flamingo Realty Trust, the building was purchased by 1620 Capital, LLC, in September 2013.

The Bradford–Union Street Historic District encompasses a waterfront residential area of Plymouth, Massachusetts, developed in the mid-19th for workers in local maritime and other industries. It is centered at the junction of Bradford and Union Streets, across Town Brook from downtown Plymouth. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Old County Courthouse (also known as the Plymouth Old County Courthouse or the Old Town House) is an historic court house on Leyden Street and Market Street in the Town Square of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Built in 1749, the two-story wood-frame building is believed to be the oldest wooden courthouse in the United States; it stands on the site of the first courthouse built by Plymouth Colony settlers, and may incorporate elements of a 1670 building. The site was originally the site of Edward Winslow's first house in Plymouth.It is five bays wide and three deep, with a center entry flanked by sidelight windows and pilasters, and topped by a gabled pediment. It was built by Peter Oliver, and initially served as both a courthouse and as town offices. It was converted to solely municipal use in 1821, and had a myriad of municipal functions since then. In the 1970s it was converted into a museum. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is now known as the 1749 Court House and Museum, and is open from June to September with exhibits of early Plymouth history.
