Cubbington Pear Tree

St. Mary's is the parish church of Cubbington, Warwickshire, England. Denominationally it is part of the Church of England. The original church building was constructed in the early 12th century with many alterations taking place since. The building is Grade I listed.

Cubbington is a village and civil parish with a population of 3,929, adjoining the north-eastern outskirts of Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England, approximately 3 miles from the town centre. Welsh Road, running through the village crossroads, was an old sheep drovers' route connecting London and Wales. Since the 1950s when the village expanded there have been two parts to the village: Cubbington proper which was the old village core, and New Cubbington which is to the west, although both are referred to as Cubbington. Topographically the highest point of the village sits about 100 metres (330 ft) above sea level while its lowest is about 60 metres (200 ft). For many years the electorate for Cubbington was represented in government by the MP for Warwick and Leamington but for the 2010 UK Elections it moved to the new Kenilworth & Southam constituency.

Weston under Wetherley, often known by locals as just Weston, is a small village and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. It is on the B4453, 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of the closest town, Royal Leamington Spa. According to the 2001 Census the village had a population of 454 living in 164 houses. The population taken at the 2011 Census was 468. The most notable buildings is the parish church of Saint Michael. Weston is unusual amongst settlements in the United Kingdom of its size in that there is not a single shop there, the last being demolished in the 1990s, nor a pub, which was closed in 2014. Another place to be closed in the 1990s was Weston Hospital which had previously treated people from all around the area. On the hospital site modern houses have been built as well as a children's playground and a village hall. Just to the north of the village is Weston and Waverley Wood. The Conservative Party politician, Dudley Smith is one of the best known people to have lived in the village. In November 1605 a group of men, including Robert Catesby, who were involved in the gunpowder plot, passed through the village. They were fleeing from London after the arrest of Guy Fawkes. Apparently they were on their way to Wales (via Warwick Castle to steal fresh horses), after a meeting at Dunchurch, near Rugby.

Offchurch Bury is a manor house one mile north-west of the centre of the village of Offchurch, Warwickshire, England. It is supposed to represent the site of a palace of the Anglo-Saxon King Offa of Mercia (d.796), after which Offchurch is named, "bury" being a corruption of "burh" meaning a fortified place. William Dugdale in his Antiquities of Warwickshire (1656) stated concerning the manor of Offchurch: In one part of the lordship is a place called "the Berry" which signifies no less than "burgus" or "curia" and accordingly 'tis said that Offa King of Mercia in the Saxon Heptarchy had here a palace".The Latin word burgus signifies "small fortified position or watch-tower usually controlling a main routeway", which suits the position of Offchurch, situated almost adjacent to the Fosse Way (now the B4455 Road), an important Roman road linking (on this stretch) the large Roman camps of Cirencester and Leicester. Parts of the manor house (surviving pre-1954 demolition) dated from the reign of King Henry VIII (1509-1547) and were said to be connected with Coventry Priory, but most is 19th century. In 1954 about three quarters of the house was demolished, including the entire Tudor south block comprising servants' quarters, and on the north side the 17th century dining room and morning room, to form the present smaller house, comprising the single south-facing entrance block with Strawberry Hill-Gothic style battlemented facade and Tudor-arched windows, containing the drawing room and inner hall. It is in private occupation and not open to the public, although the park is occasionally used for equestrian events. The tranquility of the estate has been marred in recent years by the encroachment of the suburbs of Leamington Spa.

Offchurch is a village and civil parish on the River Leam, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Leamington Spa in Warwickshire. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 250.

Eden Court is a high-rise residential building belonging to Warwick District Council located in Lillington, Leamington Spa, England. Construction on the 41 m (135 ft), 14 storey, block of flats began in 1959 and was completed the following year. The tower was constructed by the former Royal Leamington Spa Borough Council at the same time as a wider development known as The Crest. The area also comprises the eight storey Ashton Court and the seven storey Southorn Court and low rise housing. A public house named the Jack and Jill was opened in 1966 to serve the area, along with a convenience store. The pub was closed in 1996 but the shop remains. The 67 bus route operated by Stagecoach links the area to Cubbington and Leamington town centre. In March 2015 a proposal to demolish the block and many of the surrounding ones was considered by the council executive. The idea was to build new low rise buildings in their place. However the proposal was abandoned after a facilitating development on adjoining Green Belt land at Red House Farm was rejected by the Government Inspector and deleted from the Warwick District Local Plan in 2017.

The A445 road is a road in Warwickshire, England. It runs between the town of Warwick and the A45, also passing through the north of Leamington Spa. The road provides the major link between Leamington/Warwick and north-east Warwickshire, including Rugby and the M45/M1 motorways. The M45/M1 provided the major route to London until the early 1990s but have now been superseded by the M40, which passes to the south of the Leamington/Warwick conurbation.

Hunningham is a small village and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. It is 3 miles to the north-east of Leamington Spa, within the Radford Semele ward. In 2005 the village population was 198. Hunningham village is part of the Manor of Hunningham. The history of the Manor of Hunningham is of great interest because it has been documented continuously for a thousand years, from the time of the Domesday Book, written in 1086, to the present day. The village public house is the Red Lion, which was refurbished in 2007 after flooding by the River Leam. There is local nature reserve where endangered species live. It also has a cricket club.

Lillington Library is a public library in Leamington Spa, England. It was designed by Henry Fedeski in a Festival of Britain style. It was built 1959–60 and was Grade II listed in 2015 after Warwick District Council intended to demolish it along with other community buildings in Lillington as part of a regeneration plan. It was built by George Wimpey.

Lillington is a suburb of Leamington Spa, in the civil parish of Royal Leamington Spa, in the Warwick District in the county of Warwickshire, England. Historically a village which existed before the time of the Domesday Book (1086), it was incorporated into the borough of Leamington in 1890. Lillington is a ward of Warwick District Council and Royal Leamington Spa Town Council.

Radford Semele is a village and civil parish in Warwickshire, England, situated close to the Regency spa town of Leamington Spa. According to the 2001 Census, Radford Semele parish has a population of 2,448, according to 2021 census. It lies on the A425 between Leamington (2.5 miles to the west) and Southam (6 miles to the southeast). It has a 16th-century pub with a priest hole. The local school is the Radford Semele Church of England School. This is a primary school and most senior pupils go to school in either Southam, Leamington Spa or Warwick which are close by. As well as the parish church of St Nicholas the village also has a second church built in 1874, the Radford Semele Baptist Church.

Stareton is a small hamlet in Warwickshire, England. The population is included within Stoneleigh parish. It is situated about half a mile from Stoneleigh Park, between Leamington Spa and Coventry.
