Schwabstraße station is a subterranean railway station in Stuttgart, Germany. It is located west of the city centre in the district of Stuttgart-West, along Rotebühlstraße at the intersection with Schwabstraße. The station originally formed the terminus of the first section of the Connection line (German: Verbindungsbahn), the original underground section of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. Several lines of the S-Bahn terminate at the station. It is notable for a 1.5 km long loop at the end of the station to allow S-Bahn trains to turn around.

The Athenebrunnen (or Fountain of Pallas Athena) is a fountain that bears the name of the Greek goddess Athena and is along Jean-Amery-Weg towards Karlsruhe in the western part of Stuttgart. It is a creation of Karl Donndorf (1870–1941), dating from 1911. This fountain, important both culturally and historically, has been fully operational since 2011.

The Protestant Church of St John (German: Johanneskirche) in Stuttgart was built in the Gothic Revival style from 1864 to 1876 by its chief architect, Christian Friedrich von Leins. It lies on a peninsula of the Feuersee (Fire Lake), while the main entrance and tower marks the beginning of the former Johannesstraße (St. John's Street). After being nearly destroyed in the Second World War, the main church building was reconstructed, but the Gothic vaults were replaced with modern ones and the tower was intentionally left incomplete to serve as a sort of war memorial.

The Stuttgart Metropolitan Region is a metropolitan region in south-west Germany consisting of the cities and regions around Stuttgart, Heilbronn, Tübingen/Reutlingen. These cities are arranged into three agglomeration areas. The population of the area is about 5,300,000 and it is one of the biggest regions in Germany. This area covers an area of ca 15,000 km². The Stuttgart metropolitan region is roughly 200 km south of Frankfurt, 200 km west of Munich and about 600 km east of Paris. Other metropolitan areas around are Rhine-Neckar, Frankfurt Rhine-Main, Nuremberg Metropolitan and Munich Metropolitan. The region is one of the economically strongest regions in Germany and Europe. Many well-known companies like Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Bosch, Mahle, Lidl, Kaufland, Würth, Märklin, Stihl, Kärcher, Trumpf and Festo have their worldwide headquarters in the region. Furthermore many small and medium-size hidden champions are located in the region, forming the German Mittelstand. International companies like IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Intersport, Euronics and FrieslandCampina have their German headquarters in the region as well. Culturally the region is mostly Swabian, with some Franconian parts in the north. The region has a strong wine and beer tradition with many wine and beer festivals round the year. Most notably are the Cannstatter Volksfest (an Oktoberfest-like celebration that occurs twice a year), the Stuttgart wine festival and the Heilbronn wine festival. Typical dishes of the region are Maultaschen, Spätzle (e.g. as Linsen mit Spätzle), Flädle soup, Schupfnudeln and Zwiebelrostbraten.

Stuttgarter Hofbräu is a German brewery located in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. It was established in 1872. It is the traditional beer of the city Stuttgart and one of the three brands of beer served at Cannstatter Volksfest.

Dannenhauer & Stauss was founded by Gottfried Dannenhauer, a German coachbuilder. He had been employed by Karosseriewerk Reutter based in Stuttgart. Whilst there, he was communicating with Volkswagen before World War II. From 1950 to 1957 Reutter manufactured about 100 convertibles, mostly based on the Volkswagen Beetle. The sales price was 8,892 DM. The body was handmade by tapping metal sheets on a template. The doors were made in a pressing shop. Other companies like DKW were supplied. When in 1955 the Karmann Ghia was mass-produced, the company could no longer compete, and its product was discontinued. The amount of production was limited, but precise numbers are uncertain. Changing their business model to rebuilding vehicle bodies allowed the company to survive at the address in Augustenstraße, Stuttgart where Reutter had been. About 15 of the DKW Monza cars were made by Dannenhauer & Stauss. Ostensibly, a grand total of about 80 of the DKW Monza cars were made, albeit by different companies.

Schwaben Bräu (also Schwabenbräu) is a brewery owned by Dinkelacker-Schwaben Bräu GmbH und Co. KG and located in Stuttgart, Germany. The company owns the largest brewery in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.

Dinkelacker is a brand of German beer brewed in Stuttgart, Germany. The Dinkelacker brewery was founded by Carl Dinkelacker in Stuttgart's Tübinger Straße in 1888. The company still brews at that location. By the end of the 19th century Dinkelacker was the largest brewery in Stuttgart.Dinkelacker is German for "field of spelt".

Renitenztheater is a theatre in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Most events consist of guest appearances by comedians and singers. In addition, each year it features a satirical play produced by the theater itself. One of the annual highlights of the theater is the "German-Turkish cabaret week."

The Linden Museum (German: Linden-Museum Stuttgart. Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde) is an ethnological museum located in Stuttgart, Germany. The museum features cultural artifacts from around the world, including South and Southeast Asia, Africa, the Islamic world from the Near East to Pakistan, China and Japan, and artifacts from North and Latin America and Oceania. The museum traces its origins to the collection of objects amassed by the Verein für Handelsgeographie (Association for Trade Geography) in the 19th century. The namesake of the museum is Karl Graf von Linden (1838–1910) who, as president of the Stuttgart Verein für Handelsgeographie, took an interest in assembling and organizing the collection, and invited explorers of the caliber of Sven Hedin and Roald Amundsen to Stuttgart. In 1911, the collection was established as a private museum and its current building was constructed. After suffering extensive damage during World War II, the building was restored in the 1950s and the municipality became its custodian. Since 1973, the museum has been jointly administered by the city of Stuttgart and the state of Baden-Württemberg.

The Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart - University of Applied Sciences (German: Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, HFT Stuttgart) is one of ten institutes for higher education in Stuttgart. It was founded in 1832 as a school for construction craftsmen (Winterschule für Bauhandwerker) and was inaugurated as a University of Applied Sciences in 1971. The campus is located in downtown Stuttgart.

Tagblatt-Turm (English: Daily Newspaper Tower) is a 61 m (200 ft), the 16-storey skyscraper in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The landmark Tagblatt-Turm was designed by architect Ernst Otto Oßwald, and is one of Germany's earliest high-rises, constructed between 1924 and 1928 and made from crushed stone and cement. Upon completion it was the tallest building in the city after the old 1905 city hall, and the highest office building in Germany. Its modern design caused controversy during construction, however, the building has since been recognized as a cultural and architectural landmark. The earliest high-rise office building erected from cement and steel was the Zeiss Building in Jena, built by the Dywidag company of Nuremberg in 1912 to house Zeiss' corporate headquarters. From 1928 to 1943, the tower was the seat of the editorship and publishing house of the Stuttgarter Neues Tagblatt, a local newspaper; the building derives its name from this original tenant. After World War II until 1978, the tower served as the headquarters for the two newspapers Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten. In 2004, after extensive renovations, the tower was converted into a cultural center with several theatres under the name Kultur unterm Turm.
