Tetbury

The Church of St Mary the Virgin is the parish church of Tetbury in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England. It was built in 1781 incorporating elements of an earlier church. It is a grade I listed building.

Tetbury Market House, also known as Tetbury Town Hall, is a municipal building in the Market Place, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England. The building, which was used both as a market house and as a town hall until the late 19th century, is a Grade I listed building.

The Church House, No.1 Church Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England, is a prominent Grade II listed building located on the corner of Church Street and Long Street. It is noted for its range of large handsome windows, porch and shop fronts to both Church Street and Long Street. Both gables have a range of windows indicating its possible former use as a weaver's workshop.

The Tetbury Woolsack Races are an annual sporting event in the English town of Tetbury, in Gloucestershire, where competitors must race up and down the steepest street in the town carrying a full woolsack on their back. It is held each year on the Whitsun Bank Holiday Monday. The races take place on Gumstool Hill between two public houses, the Royal Oak (the bottom of the hill) and the Crown (at the top). People can take part either as individuals or as part of a team. The individuals race up the hill, the teams (with four members swapping places at each end of the course) race up and down the hill twice. The men race with a 60-pound (27 kg) woolsack, women have 30 pounds (14 kg). There are also youth races where boys ages 16–18 races with a 30 lb sack, and a children's class. The weight of the children's woolsack is unspecified but is likely about the same as a pillow. Regular competitors include local rugby teams, the British Army and the Norfolk Mountain Rescue Team.

Tetbury railway station was the terminus station on the Tetbury branch line, serving the Gloucestershire town of Tetbury.

St Saviour's Church is a historic 19th-century Anglican church in the town of Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England under the care of The Churches Conservation Trust. It was designed by the architect Samuel Daukes. Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin and John Hardman undertook the design and execution of the chancel roof. St Saviour's is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building.

Sir William Romney's School is an 11–16 secondary school with academy status in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, England. Pupils come from the Tetbury, Leighterton, Stroud, Cirencester, Nailsworth and Avening areas. In 2016 the school achieved a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.

The Duchy Home Farm is an organic farm operated by the Duchy of Cornwall. The farm is part of the gardens of Highgrove House, the country home of King Charles III. The produce is used as ingredients in Duchy Originals products, sold in vegetable boxes, and wholesaled to supermarkets and restaurants. King Charles is credited with using "pioneering agriculture techniques" to produce this organic food.

Veizey's Quarry (grid reference ST881944) is a 1.4 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest near Tetbury in Gloucestershire, notified in 1974. It is in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is listed in the 'Cotswold District' Local Plan 2001-2011 (on line) as a Key Wildlife Site (KWS) and a Regionally Important Geological Site (RIGS).

Doughton Manor is a country house in Doughton, in the civil parish of Tetbury Upton, in the Cotswold district of Gloucestershire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.The listed building specification indicates that Richard Talboys built the house between 1628 and 1641, and it was restored in 1933. More recent research suggests Doughton Manor was built around the year 1590 by John Seed before Richard Talboys acquired the property in 1623. Talboys was long considered responsible for the original construction and he certainly worked on the building between 1628 and 1641, altering and aggrandising it. Although the house was restored in 1933 it remains one of the least altered Cotswold Manor houses.Doughton Manor is adjacent to Highgrove House, the family residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The house was offered for sale in 2022 at a price of £4 million.

Tetbury Upton is a small village and civil parish in the Cotswolds area of Gloucestershire, England. The parish extends in an arc around the north, west and south of the town of Tetbury, and includes the village of Tetbury Upton on the B4014 road 1.5 miles (2 km) north of the town and the village of Doughton on the A433 road 1.2 miles (1.9 km) southwest of the town. Upton and Doughton were historically tythings in the ancient parish of Tetbury, and the area became a separate civil parish in 1894. By 1901 Tetbury Upton's total population reached 905, but by 2011 the population had declined to 309.Upton House is a Neoclassical country house built in 1752, whose design is usually attributed to William Halfpenny, of Bristol. The parish also includes Highgrove House near Doughton. Despite its small size the parish is the most populous in 'Grumbolds Ash' electoral ward. This ward starts in the south west at Didmarton passes Tetbury Upton, and ends in the north west at Kingscote. The total ward population taken at the 2011 census was 1,887.
