Hastings (Neutral Bay)

HMAS Platypus is a former Royal Australian Navy (RAN) submarine base, located at 118 High Street, North Sydney with moorings in Neutral Bay, a suburb of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. It was located upon the site of the Royal Australian Navy Torpedo Maintenance Establishment (RANTME), it built on the site of the former North Sydney Gas Works that operated on the site from 1877 and resumed by the Commonwealth in 1942. The Fleet Intermediate Maintenance Activity (FIMA) Workshops building on the site was originally used for torpedo assembly and storage during World War 2. It was later modified for submarine maintenance and repair, with a steel tower added to the northern end of the building for testing, cleaning and maintenance of periscopes.

Nutcote is a heritage-listed former artist studio, dwelling, and author's study and now education centre and house museum located at 5 Wallaringa Avenue, Kurraba Point, Sydney, in the North Sydney Council local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by B. J. Waterhouse and built from 1924 to 1925 by F.J.Gray. It is also known as May Gibbs house. The property is owned by North Sydney Council (Local Government). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Anderson Park is an urban recreation park located in the Sydney suburb of Neutral Bay, New South Wales, Australia. The park is located on the shore of the bay in Sydney Harbour from which the suburb is named. Anderson Park is built on land reclaimed from the bay in the 1890s, and was dedicated on 8 October 1899. It was originally called Warringa Park, but was renamed in 1926 in honor of William Anderson who was the Mayor of the local municipality of North Sydney from 1914 to 1918.A floodlit sports field is available for cricket; various codes of football; volleyball; and other activities. There are pathways, sandstone flagging, a depression-era concrete wall and a small beach. The main path through the park is lined with Hill's weeping figs.

Careening Cove, is a bay on the northern side of Sydney Harbour, near Milsons Point. The cove lies in the traditional lands of the Cammeraygal people, who called it Wia Wia. It was later named for its use in the early days of European settlement in Australia, careening (to clean a keel and the hull in general, often by rolling the ship on its side).

Hollowforth is a heritage-listed residence in Kurraba Point, North Sydney Council, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Edward Jeaffreson Jackson and in association with S. G. Thorp and built from 1893 to 1893. The property is privately owned. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Kurraba Point is a harbourside suburb on the lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Kurraba Point is located 4 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of North Sydney Council. Kurraba Point shares the postcode of 2089 with adjacent suburb of Neutral Bay. It is bordered by Neutral Bay, Cremorne and Cremorne Point.

Sydney Flying Squadron Yacht club was founded in 1891 by Mark Foy in the birthplace of the famous Sydney Harbour sailing skiff classes. It was founded to allow people to enjoy skiff sailing regardless of financial background. The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron is a yacht club located in North Sydney, Australia in the suburb of Kirribilli. The squadron was founded in 1862. It has occupied its grounds in East Kirribilli, near Kirribilli House, since 1902.

Bradfield, the western portion of which was also known as Bradfield Park, was a suburb on the North Shore of Sydney, Australia between 1924 and 1977, since absorbed by neighbouring Lindfield. As of 2021, Bradfield is also the proposed name for a section of Bringelly in South Western Sydney. Both names commemorate Dr John Job Crew Bradfield, who oversaw design and construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge between 1913 and 1932.
